Glass that looks good?
I've observed some pretty good looking player builings which have glass that appears to be clean and clear.

Then I look at what I can make, and it looks like, well, apocolypse glass.

What am I missing here?

I think there are nice glass panels that can only be aquired with the creativity mode, but then I just came back after a long pause, so not totally sure ;)

Someone else mentioned that, it would be a shame to be so. The game has so much potential for folks that like to bridge the gap between game genres.

Actually, now that I think about it, one of the builds I was impressed by was on a live server without creative mode enabled.

Who needs windows during a zombie apocalypse? Crazy talk, that's like turning on all the lights in London in 1942, right before the german bombers arrive for a nighttime bombing run....

I think I've seen posts referencing how they had clear glass you could craft for a while but it tanked fps or something, so they removed it for now. Not sure what you're seeing on the servers, without a screenshot. Creative Mode and having "cheats enabled" are two different things, I believe, so they could still be accessing the cheat/materials menu outside of Creative Mode. Or they have added user-created crafting recipes on their server. Just guessing, however.

Not the same here actually, I got big glass windows at the second floor of my base protected by a short balcony to avoid spiders climbing in.

At night I have lights (candles) on the opposite side of the room so you would suppose zeds can see them from far away, but I did'nt notice any significant difference in zeds behaviour because of that. Maybe I was just lucky, I don't know...

I dont think Zombies "See" light sources...they just add to the heatmap.

I think what your looking for is called Shower Glass. I can't recall if it's part of the base recipes though. It would be made with panes of glass if it is.

As always Mytheos says things without checking first... or maybe you just don't understand what you read... that's not my problem.
