V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary
Hey Survivors,

We have been very busy working on the Storm’s Brewing V2.0 Update and thought we should share its status. Although it has taken significantly longer than anticipated the build is jam packed with a ton of fantastic new content, new challenges, progression updates, optimizations and a whole lot more. We are aiming for an April 15th Steam Experimental Release and a Stable Release on all platforms in early May if all goes as planned. [update 4/12/25: delayed “several weeks” from original target]

Note: The list below is not a complete list as many details are missing and several features are in the works but are not listed as they may not make it in time. More complete information will come towards launch.

For those commenting on our new 7 Days Blood Moons Game you should know that the game is published by TFP and developed by Illogika Studios and has not impacted our progress on 7 Days to Die updates. An overwhelming majority of TFPs Team is exclusively dedicated to working on 7 Days and only a small fraction of our team are assisting on other projects.

With this status update, I’m pleased to kick off a new Developer Diary. Here you'll find a compilation of confirmed features and content for Version 2.0 - Storms Brewing. Fun Pimp devs may occasionally post updates here on what they're working on, answer questions, and give us sneak peeks into the future of 7 Days to Die.

Like in previous diaries, we want this thread to stay focused on discussing the following features and content, and other things TFP devs want to discuss. We’ll make an effort to only list confirmed features and content, not features that are merely rumored or contemplated. Please limit discussion in this thread to these topics, so that the diary doesn’t become bloated. Chatter not pertaining to V2.0 Storms Brewing may be moved or removed.

  Target Release Dates (“if all goes as planned”):

     Experimental Release (Steam): Probably May 2025 sometime.

     Stable Release (all platforms): Most Likely June

So, can we incorporate a built-in feedback "button" in the game in version 2.0? After all, we can't directly get in touch with the developers. No matter what, feedback on bugs and suggestions is positive for the game, even if the developers of this game are lazy and slow
well like the challanging idea of biome weather. Also new Z's are a plus and so far i really like the designs. Hope that we can get burnt forest, radiation and wasteland horrors!
It looks like the "geniuses" have broken something in the game again. Or they added it, but they didn't write about it. So, the burnt forest, the base.
Two radiation screamers come running...... I leave the base, shoot off about twenty zombies who came running..... it looks idiotic, by the way, even on a bloody night such crowds need to be specially adjusted..... and then immediately. I'm coming back, killing a couple of radiation screamers.
One manages to scream, another radiation screamer comes running, with help, I kill the radiation one, start running away again..... no one can catch up (boots +10% speed, no debuffs), but after a few seconds I get hit, then another. It turns out that a completely ordinary-looking zombie has caught up with me and is beating me..... not a radiation one, not a yellow-eyed one, but the most ordinary zombie, the others were catching up. It happened in the morning, and the zombies won't catch up with me at night, including the bloody one, as long as I have the stamina.
It's not surprising that the update was postponed, given that the mechanics are broken again. This game will outlive me, and it won't be finished.

If these developers read everything that people write to them about bugs and problems..... they'll just quit the game)))

i have never been in a page were there is so many people complaining about the game, its not fun to read all this crap, why not play a different game instead?
Could you edit the main post to reflect the delay for the experimental version - kinda confusing to see it say April 15th and it's not available yet.

will there be an update for Players Gameplay Animation, i always failed hitting zombies with bow, guns, and melee because of the janky animation. i can't say it's a skill issue because a lot of my friend have the same issues.

Return the body sliders and character customization please. people love their deformed and strange characters.
