Would be cool if the game has "lives", like in Mario, and you could get more by being badass. When you're out of them, you're dead. The game difficulty would define how many "max lives", down to just 1, your starter life.

Obviously could be a mod, but could be interesting to explore such things for the base game too, for bragging rights.

Interesting, but there's a "fatal flaw" in that idea:
How do you Top "Bragging Rights" for a 1 (and only 1) Life Perma-Death Run?

You can already do that in-game now.

A Perma-Death achievement might be nice, but I'd rather they deliver their road map.
Also, I'm not a big fan of a second play-through just to clean up missing achievements.

I'm still plenty Salty about those few Achievements locked behind Multi-Player.
And don't get me started with their Death Achievements - it is NOT an "achievement".

You don't even need a mod! Keep a note pad handy for your runnign total of initial and earned/used lives. Share with friends and family, post to social media.

As for bragging rights, IMHO its permadeath insane-nightmare or bust, mate. I don't see anyone caring if the Baddass earned six "lives" and used three on default.

That does not interest me at all but I'm sure some players would enjoy it.

Yep, just like being able to choose to play a "no trader run" without using mods or editing files you can absolutely do this on your own if you want to.

Try and play an overhaul with NPC`s. Counted as PvP kills for me, but that was before V1.0.

If not there is surley a bunch of people who still need this achievement and would happily let you kill them 25 times if they can kill you 25 times aswell.

First off, ♥♥♥♥ all this 'bragging rights' business. Too old for that ♥♥♥♥. But the idea is actually cool I think, considering how arcade the game has become.

But you should be able to get more 'lifes' as well, so should we get back to collecting X amount of coin(s) to do that..?

Oh... Wait a sec here.. Is there an idea here somewhere..? :D
This idea seems contrived. Permadeath x1 isn't much different than permadeath x 3. I know the game has a permadeath setting but that isn't really permadeath. It's loss of skill points. Permadeath, at least as it was first considered was a complete restart. In that case, any death could be the choice to restart.
And btw, for bragging rights you play permadeath with a new random map every time you die. Getting back to a fully loaded base knowing where everything is, on the same map is nothing to brag about.

I'm playing "Rebirth" overhaul, and they have bandits in the game which count as players. I already maxed out the 25 kills. Bandits are all over the map, and they even have a mini-horde event where it spawns a huge pack of bandits with a bandit boss. They all sorta look like guidos. Velour track suits, sunglasses, gold chains. It's hilarious.
