If you can actually build the filter you're using a mod.

Myeah nah stop assuming , you making an Assofyou =)
Uh, the OP originally stated the Water Purifier was gone and that it is now Craftable...
It isn't Craftable from the recipe he posted - which is what was pointed out.
He changed to the Dew Collection recipe mid-post (which has not been changed).
The recipe for the dew Collector was indeed changed, you don't need the water filter anymore!
Also with a bit of common sense reading the Op's post, one will quickly realise he mean't the Dew collector (Well and also didn't lucked out on the water filter on his trader).
My apologies to both of you "Time Travelers"...
When introduced in a21 (18 MONTHS AGO), the Dew Collection required the Water Purifier.
However, for those of us living in the present, the Water Purifier wasn't needed after v1.0+.
Posting about this "sudden" change 6 months after-the-fact is just a bit disingenuous.
It's confusing, and like necro-posts, conflates the historical features with the current release.
It's only "common sense" for players who had played a21 previously and just starting v1.0+.
For current v1.0+ players, the OPs post is still very much wrong (has been for a while now).
It's hardly the Epiphany of Information that was being Relayed.
so now you can always have plenty of rain water to drink
