before spears are what they became now, a few alfas ago i could chuck a spear and it would stick into targets and then i had to pull it out like arrows do..

i used to sneak spear a dog, and then watch the icon for the spear as it darted through the poi building haha..

Bows exist for a reason. No reason chuck away your melee weapon just to now be without a weapon or worse lose it.
