I would do blood moons but the lag ain't worth it, besides I ain't gonna rent a server just for that since I solo 80% of times on my own set up. Besides I like my bunkers not being dug out of the mountain.....

I was playing off for a while. Then I decided to play minimum zombies on screen and warrior setting. I changed blood moon to 20 days. Zombie walk, Will see how that goes.

If I don't like it I'll try zombie run/ nomad. Finding it difficult to get a setting I really like.

I do too. The game is nice and engaging enough for me without the blood moon.

You don't have to download 7DTD mod launcher to get Darkness Falls.

You currently have two choices. You can play the finished, stable version of the mod for A21, which you can get from the usual sources.

It's on the 7 days to die mods site:

It's probably also on Nexus. There's a page on Nexus for the mod but it's labelled as adults only and I CBA to log into Nexus to check.

eh, when downloading a mod is too much work to install a mod it's time to move on to something else. you don't like vanilla and you don't tolerate the process of modding.

yeah. i have 7dtd mod launcher. I also mod skyrim which is an order of magnitude more complicated than modding 7dtd

Once you have an established base and high character constitution and access to electric traps and explosive production... the only reason you want to play is to perfect your anti-horde build.

Without hordes, the game is really over in a few hours for many players in its current state.

The only way to extend the game is to turn off loot regeneration, which will force you to go further and further. Although this is also solved by exploiting vendor missions. Regenerating the same POI over and over again to loot it repeatedly.

It's only because that mod doesn't have a stable release updated for 1.x. Which I explained, simply and clearly. You can either install A21 7DTD and play Darkness Falls stable or install 1.x 7DTD and play Darkness Falls experimental. It's not complicated.

Installing the mod is as simple as installing mods is for 7DTD - put the mod in the mods directory. It's not complicated.

I already built "perfect" horde bases. Not just one. AfK too. It's basically trickery with superblocks.

I still have more fun just killing Zs, looting and building things. I would like to clean all the settlements from Zombies and be able to rebuild stuff and renovate it. This would be a different mode. Zombies should "come back" in hordes or single ones but there shouldn't be new "sleepers" in the buildings then.
