Horde nights VS new players low levels?
Question here about Horde nights:

I'm playing with a friend in coop, we are like day 70-80ish and our hordes are getting a bit hard....

But now 2 more friends recently joined the server... they are not teamed with us, but they are on same map in their own base about 1km away from ours. They are new low level... they joined around night 40-50-ish

QUESTION: are our hordes will be the Same since it depends on the curent server day... or the horde will depend on the player levels?

'cuz right now everytime there's a horde night, my 2 low level friends log off and wait for me and my friend which are high level and have a good horde base to fend off the night... once its passed i msg them saying its clear and they log back in... they only still have a low level wooden base, barely anything for defence... if the horde is as hard as the one WE have at our base.... they will be wiped off the map.

So i'm curious how the horde night works for low level player joining late/advances nights...

Thanks!

Hordes are balanced against the players within a certain range of eachother. You and your friend will get a horde difficulty tailored to you, And the other two, being 1km away, would get a horde tailored to them.

Friend and I built a base and surrounding it with a wall like a fort. Zombies spawned inside the walls because they changed how they spawned so they dont have to wander towards you!

If you add flooring you can likely prevent that.

Curious but do you, or anyone else who might see this comment, know what the minimum distance between player bases is for that horde night rule to remain true?

Me and a friend are playing on pc and he wants to build his horde base somewhat close to me. Since I'm the host of the server, and am able to play more often than him, ill end up progressing the days and making my horde nights much harder to the point that if he built nearby he could get destroyed.

So what is the minimum distance needed between bases to make sure that our horde nights don't affect one another when the time comes?

The zombies don't target the base, they target players. If his base is vacant it will only receive incidental damage, which will be higher and higher as the placement gets closer to your own because the zombies will need to path around it if they spawn on the other side, etc.

landclaim block and beds stop spawning zombies around it
in a base without it u will have some fun once in a while

Alright mate, let's assume he's in his base when horde night comes around as you would expect any player to be. How far away does he need to be to have a separate game stage horde night than me, which was the initial question.

Remember I am trying to keep him far enough away that he doesn't get decimated by my game stage horde nights but close enough that it isn't tedious interacting with one another.

Sorry, I misread your post and thought you meant he would be gone on some horde nights because you could play more often. Ignore that bit. I think if you are outside of visual range from each other that is quite sufficient, I'd say 500 meters to be absolutely sure? On horde nights they spawn sort of in a radius around you (although each wave kinda comes from one direction) at a range of maybe 100m or 200m tops. From a good sniper tower you can see them spawning in the distance but you don't shoot until they get closer, that kinda range.

Edit: Oh, and certainly don't be in-team with your buddy on horde night. Allies is ok, but teaming up so you see each other's health bar will get your gamestage lumped for sure.

Zombies spawn at a range of 80-100~ meters from the player and then path inwards from there; So you would want two disparate bases to be 200 meters apart; 250+m for wiggle room. You COULD get away with less; But then zombies spawning in to attack Player A may go to Player B instead due to noises made during the fight, and vice versa.

Every block is a square meter; So, 250 blocks away and you're golden.
