Motorhome as a mobile base
It would be nice if the developers brought a mobile home into the game that is accessible, that you can drive around with, and that always has everything with you, such as a kitchen, additional storage space, beds to respawn, etc. Explore the entire map, whether alone or in co-op. It could be built like the 4x4 jeep or the motorcycle.

Maybe instead of a working mobile home have the player able to tow a small flatbed style trailer that can only take some objects like campfire ect, maybe even have the placements of objects fixed to limit creativity and allow more functionality with the world. Also make it slow any vehicle that tows it a bit too.

I could see that being modded easily.

they should bring back the destroyer horde that completely demolishes your base if you flee from it during horde night

Actually you can´t flee from the horde with a vehicle anymore. The game will spawn vultures that have severe damage and are super fast if you try to escape with a vehicle.

It´s not an option anymore.

That's awesome. I played A19, but every time I defended my base.

I heard about this "Strategy" , hence why I mentioned it - I personaly found it kinda pointless. If you don't want horde night, you might as well just disable it. I'm glad to hear it doesn't work anymore.

I never really liked that change. I'm also a stand and defend player, but driving around never really seemed cheesey to me, it was just another option to deal with the horde. Many have said "just disable blood moons" but that's not really an answer, because you're still in it, you still need to act carefully and quickly to not die. In fact the one time I tried it (not intentionally, logged in as horde began and tried to drive to the base)I ended up stuck in a ditch and ended up in a running ground battle.

It's not like an afk base, or sitting on a skyscraper roof, which are 2 examples of completely bypassing blood moons which are still allowed. Hell, I'll even double down on that and say we should get vehicle mods such as spikes or shredders to engage zombies.

Nah before they introduce the vultures for vehicles in horde night you just had to drive away. They wouldn´t despawn and it took them ages to catch up with you. Our builder who is basically just building and never leaves home did this often when she was alone on the server.

You weren´t in it. You could easily outrun them.

Hmm, I thought they respawned once you were a certain distance. At least that's how it seemed the one time I was stuck driving, as soon as I stopped (more accurately, got stuck) they were on me.

In any case, even if you outrun them and never stop or get stuck, you are still actively dealing with it. Your attention is on keeping ahead of the horde, you're using resources, there is still risk. That seems less cheesey to me than sitting it out on a roof.

I would have rather seen some more thought put in to making driving more of a viable but challenging option, and less deus ex vulture.

Nice idea, but it would make horde night useless. They are avoidable anyway, you can outrun with bycicle pretty much anything, I can imagine something going on 4 wheels.

Actually, you can't outrun the zombie vultures even with a motorcycle. I tested that and while I was able to outrun the zombies and zombie dogs, the zombie vultures kept on attacking me on top speed. Eventually, they inflicted serious damage and I had to stop to kill them and tend to my wounds.

Unless you can dispatch them quickly and heal fast enough, they'll eventually get you.

If you want to flee from the horde, your best bet is on foot with an ample supply of mega crush.

+1

I'm down for an rv in the game if handled correctly. Limited slots for stations and/or slower crafting speeds compared to stationary bases.

Some of the more interesting runs I've had were nomad.

I like the way its done in Darkness falls you have to have all Material on you when making the item or smelting whatever the case so say you want to leave now all you do is click the X to stop producing if its all not done and TATA all on made stuffs material goes back into your inventory how cool is that. The DF modders should put in a work applications with TFP seriously.
pApA^LeGBa 17/ago./2021 às 5:52
In vanilla you need all the materials on you aswell if you craft something in your inventory, the workbench, chemstation, campfire and you get everything back in your inventory when you cancel. Only the forge is an execption here.

And i really don´t see any advantage if i do have it back in my inventory when canceling things that craft in the forge. How does that even work in DF with the forge if you craft something that needs smelted material? Or is the smelting completly taken out of the game?

First i should of stated i was talking about the Forge. DF combined smelt time and create time together. So in vanilla whatever how long it takes to smelt plus the create that item added together is put into one total time In DF. What makes this nice you need 500 iron bars you dont need to sit around waiting on everything to smelt then create. DF you put in 500 iron bars it does it in one time with smelting and create time as one. Then you can be on your merry way to do somthing else not waiting around and if you want to head out dont have to wait to pull all that stuff out of the forge. If that isnt ingenious then i dont know what is

Not long ago I played a huge amount of Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead and this was often how I played it. I'd roam around in a RV, tour bus, limo, a boat, whatever I could manage to find that was working and I could modify into a functional home on wheels. It was an awesome way to play the game and really lent to exploring. As such...

I would actually really like this idea. Even if interaction with the crafting stuff was only accessible via a menu when interacting with the vehicle model I'd be fine with it. If the crafting / smelt only progressed while you had the vehicle stationary or even in some kind of "deployed" state, like how some RVs can expand to give more room inside, I'd be down with it.

Whenever I play 7 Days to Die anymore I've been doing a nomad playstyle where I don't make a permanent base for blood moons. Whenever the blood moon nears I'll just pick a place nearby and slap together some shoddy defenses to hold out there. It's a pretty different gameplay experience than having a custom designed fortress. Having something like an RV / mobile home (base) to do some crafting in and provide some mobile storage would be sweet. I would hope it would be a gas guzzler too that way it fuels that constant drive for more fuel.

If they did implement it... I'd love to see them steal some ideas and functionality from Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. For instance, if I parked somewhere and setup the mobile home into an expanded stationary mode it should be able to function like a gas powered generator and let you connect wiring off of it. So I could park it next at my temporary blood moon base for that week and power some electrical stuff off of it.

they should make a flatbed trailer that you can tow. but the top of it has customizable components you can attach to in sense build your own RV.
