Playing with a friend

I keep trying to play with my friend and it is not showing us in the same map????? can someone help me with this?

your playing on the same server? If you are, you randomly start in diferent spots. If not make sure yo both are logging into the same IP Server Address.

Press Tab to see the People that are in your Game, if you see your friends Name open your Invetory go to Friends ( Top right) and Invite him.
Then you should see him on the Map.
Sometimes theres a bug so mayby you cant see your Friend on the map but he can see you or something like that.

i've had that happen before. i kept reopening the room and i would have no items and not be able to see my friends. i just made a new room and it stopped

well i invited him from the screen and it said he joined the game, but we couldnt see each other at all. we could in game chat and everything but on the map there was no friend lol is that a bug or can we just not play together?

I just usually just go into my Steam open 7 days stay at main page Alt+Tab to steam right click my friend and join game never had problems with doing it that way Gow..try turning on the option to see other players

and now I do believe they made it so you can only see in-game friends to avoid griefing and ♥♥♥♥ so go into inventory last tab and add him to your friends list after he accepts you should have no problem seeing him ever again since he's in the friends list

lol yeah thats my issue is its fun but only to an extend so i figured me and him can build some crazy ♥♥♥♥. i will try it this evening thanks for all the help everyone

make sure you both invite each other theres bugg sometime if only 1 invites you still cant see eacher other most time its after you logg off then come back

well that kinda defeats the purpose of finding the friend youre starting a game with, no?

Hey mate, i've experienced this bug before. What you need to do is remove each other on the in game friend's list (not steam) and add each other again. You'll be able to see your friend designated with the arrow cursor on the minimap after that

pft. I've played DayZ theres no GPS and the map is many many many times bigger than 7dtd and people still managed to find eachother

we would like to just log in and do what were aiming to do..

not learnt he map so we can make way to one another...

it's not a very big map at all. And you can see your own position. Stop being a lazy entitled ♥♥♥♥. Look where you are, set a rendevous point, meet your friend there. That simple. If you can't do atleast that survival games are not for you.
