unable to use tunnels with ladders, anyone else???

So, after the new patch, I seem to be unable to climb up or down a ladder now, I tried a new tunnel and expanding the size of the hole, nothing seems to work. I hit an invisible wall or can't climb at all; anyone else having a similiar experience?

I wish they'd just get over their "this isn't minecraft" phobia and return to square blocks. It mines better, makes better underground rooms, doesn't look ridiculous and amateurish when you make an above ground garden, accepts ladders in a sane manner etc. Or perhaps they could just make it so ladders can be rotated 45 degrees like say...a bed. Then they would lay flat on the walls instead of in the corner. This isn't GTA either but I see guns so maybe it's really a GTA clone ? Seriously, noone cares if it has any resemblance to anything else.........they just want to play a fun intuitive game and not have to jump onto ladders or do open cut mining or wait 5 minutes to switch from their weapon to their food which looks like a weapon lol or run like Forest Gump forever across the map with no scary risks anymore....anyway......

Break the wall, put some wood/anysquareblock, put the ladder on it, done.

But if the new smooth terrain means blocks won't work anymore I'm all for keeping the smooth terrain. Love it :)

I can still use my ladders, just need to turn around where the caves block.

You cannot enter some houses, blocked at the edge at the top of stairs and base of roof or second floor...you need to jump to access the door. kinda strange.

I'm thinking the blocked ladders in some garages were meant to be. One of them is in the new burned out town (where car is in garage, I think) has a handy gun safe up there..if you mess with getting to it! Good job.

I tend to build my mine entrances with a downhill slope these days anyway so I don't use ladders. The jumping on ladders at the bottom of a mine shaft thing has been around for me since the diamond blocks arrived so it's nothing new here. I wonder if it stops the z's from climbing them and coming upstairs in attics etc......hmmm might be a good thing.
