HOW DO YOU MAKE A FURNACE

i hate this new upodate it was good at first but now it is crap i mean if you are on a multy player server and all cars are looted you go to kill zombies get scrap iron and then boom NO FN FURNACE

You could either read the patch notes[7daystodie.com], or you could employ some patience and do it the way the game was designed, with trial and error, and a sense of imagination.

They made one small tweak to how we create forges. It makes total sense, and should always have been this way.

u cant craft a iron pipe without a forge, so i think they should change it back

Iron pipes are incredibly easy to find in AC units

This game was not meant to hold your hand like MC, get used to the difficulty and learning curve. If you have problems, go the creative mode and explore recipies to get use to how things are made. You must be patient, if you are not patient then you create waste of space threads like this. :/

it's not a total waste.... it has some entertainment value, if you think about it :)

Sources of short metal pipe: air conditionners, kitchen sinks (tons of them in the wasteland and burned forest area)

It is a pain to get that 1st iron pipe, and then start making metal tools. For anyone that has been playing the game it is little to no trouble to get one and make what they need. Now for anyone that has just gotten the game, and if they try to play it without looking it up it's going to be a bad bad time.

It's this way by design - you aren't meant to start crafting iron tools in the first 24 hours. They WANT us to have to scavenge, scrape, and just plain get by without thriving in the very beginning. It is called "survival" for a reason.

That would be nice huh? Quick clean drink - but I expect all the pumping stations that keep pressure in the pipes have long since shut down. So water on tap wouldn't be realistic.

that makes sense. yesterday was the first time i even noticed sinks.
