Making a green house ?

As we know, we need to grow crops outside. question, can we make a hot/green house.. Essentially walls all around but on the ceiling using glass panes? Will that work?

you can make growing thing inside your house, i have view the house of a friend and they make growing thing in the cave, they have make a beautiful work, but they have put water beside it to be sure the plant have water to not need to transport water to the plant..., and yes you can put glasswork on the celling, like any other thing, but the game have problem with some of the thing they collapse if you walk on it, sometime...,

it's happend to me when i have be to late to return to my hidding, and because the zombie begin to become much number because of the night, i have climb a brige to go to the top to be sure the zombie can not come, but the metal have broke like any other thing, and i have fall on the bridge, and like if it's not enought the floor of the bridge have broken no long time after and i finish in the water Ha ha ha...

oh!, and when you want to place something, some people don't know it, so i don't know if you you know it, but you can rotate thing with the left button when you have in in the hand to put in at 45 degree or turning it,

anyway, it's make beautiful...

Daniel, they removed the ability to grow things inside recently.

It now needs to be open to the sky but I don't know about the glass -- I haven't tried that. Just roof-top stuff so far (which works fine for me).

oh!, ok, ummm, but i remember in some game, when they say they need to be open to the sky, it's can be work even if they have only one square they are not close to the roof, like when you go underground, you have light until you put the last stone to block all..., but i have not trying,

or peharp they can make like we view with some farm, with a small second roof over the first, because the first roof have a hole in it to let's pass the air...,

i have more thing i want to try like this, if i can survive and if the zombie can stop to destruct all Ha ha Ha

I have a greenhouse already... wood frame, and glass panes (not windows!) all around. Things are growing perfectly, and nothing is spawning in the gardens :)

Greenhouse V2 will be larger and more refined :)

Note that what I meant was: You can find a video of a guy farming in his mines. That doesn't work anymore. You need crops to "see" the sky.

I've only recently started using glass while building my base. They work great - keeping wasps out but letting me quickly and easily break the glass to shoot out if needed (always 3+ bricks above "zombie" wanderings.

can it's work if you build a garden on a roof, by example, like in the big castle they have restaurant in reality, they have garden to the balconery or on the top,

i have not trying but i think it's can be possible, just need to go on the top of the building or on the balcon, make the base in rock by example, and put dirt block over it, after you plant your seed, like this you can have like a garden high in the sky Ha Ha Ha, and if the only requier thing it's to be open, it's can give some beautiful decor,

i know we can make different grass in recolting more pland and all, but i have find anything for now to be able to have a green ground, i have wanted to try to build something with the top like we can view in some big hotel or plaza, where the top have grass with tree, but i know it's impossible to make growing a tree for now in the game, but if you know a way to have green ground it's can be fun...

This is actually possible as long as your crops have a direct line to the sky (glass panel doesn't count as obstacle). So you could even grow at bedrock level, if you make a small hole up your corps until surface.
