How to direct connect

I am not tech savvy so any step-by-step someone could give on how to configure this would be appreciated. Thanks.

The devs on another thread said that you could "direct connect" as a workaround to going on a server since there are many who are having a hard time going on a server. From the context I figured that meant a friend could connect to my computer directly and we could play the game together. If so, I want to know how to do that.

Anyways i personally use Himachi to play with friends.

Ihave read in other threads though that you can simply go into a game , and once in bring up steam consel and directly invite friends into your game.

I have not tried this but worth a shot!

Others have also said that multuiplayer "sint working in 6.1"
but if nothing else works for you, himachi will

I'd try the jsut inviting friends through steam first. Since if that works it sounds easy as heck, and if that dont work i recommend himachi as it has never had any problems while even the game servers have.

also if you do go through himachi there are several youtube posts on how to set it up, its pretty simple, or just read some of my other posts where i have explained it to people.

But i hope the steam option works! That would be nice
