Exactly, and the QA manager is NOT a developer. It's someone who handles bug reports and community relations. Now, I do feel that the QA manager should do a better job handling people than what was stated here. But I have my doubts to the exact context in which he responded. If the OP and subsequent posts by Rock are anything to use as a baseline, I would have probably responded in a similar fashion.
Its nothing more than someone who doesn't understand the game development process. Personally, while I love buying into games I want in Alpha, I think some devs should stop trying this. Every game it is the same thing. People still fail to understand what the definition of Alpha software is. I buy in to support the devs and help drive the development process. Though I don't usually like to play until later in the dev cycle once the game plays more like the end product.
understandable. im actually enjoying the two games i have that are in alpha. they are pretty fun and i get to have new things added at what seems like a faster rate than a finished games update schedule. yeah it may soudn odd, im enjoying having features that are meant to be in the game added just so they can get to final release standards.. sue me ^.^
i also get to put my two cents into the game and try to have them possibly added to the finished game which is also pretty awesome.
on the thing of developers need to reduce this... i kind of agree but disagree.. i agree that it needs to be reduced due to some of the community getting upset and nto carign that its in alpha and gonna have bugs.. but i disagree also because this is an awesome step in the correct direction allowing players to incorporate early on their ideas into the finished game while it is being made. where as in other circumstances after a game is released the updates come slower and ideas and suggestions are often overlooked because the devs have the clearest idea in THEIR minds of what they want us to play.
Players being able to do this in alpha gives developers an idea of what the PLAYERS want to play. which can provide a beneficial experience to both players and devs.
ok... ima shut up now.. Ty for reading.
MP is not all!!!!
i dont play MP and many other ppl also dont and the also have the right to have a good game!
*scratches head*
MP is normaly the last part of development!!!!!
+1 ,If I was a game developer I would never do Alpha again just because of this alone. Unreal how impatient people are. People pre-order and wait but when a team say "buy into our product and help us build it"...........Obviously some people can't understand that concept.
I knew this before I bought the game, but luckily the game itself is pretty cool. Except for the fact that I still can't play it... Or rather I can play it but can't see a single change after a friend joins, which defeats the purpose of playing.
