Army bases

So after 125 hrs in this game I finally found an army base... safe to say I was disappointed. The best loot I got was 12 measly 762 rounds for a sniper rifle I daren't use as it's shockingly bad. Ok so it wasn't all that bad luring zeds into the landmines and watching them fly but was really expecting better loot after reading about the "struggle" to find one.

Oh and the bloody mines got me as I was sprinting past going after an airdrop. That was deeply unsatisfying. But when I finally found the crate after roughly marking it out the loot from that was well worth the death by landmine.

The best part was the arrival of a spider zombie, due to the large ammoount of explosions, who instantly called a horde of around 30 zeds that mostly cleared the landmines for me. Very pleasant to watch.

Now to find an Indian burial ground and get me a unique axe... even if it is stone and my last one was faulty -.-

arent army bases rather common? or is it diferent thing from the army camp thing

There's two crates in the base. One is hidden inside the walls.

day 869, still not encounter any army base yet, i thought the dev already delete it.

Well it looks like a camp really but the landmines made me believe it was an army place of some description. Waiting for night to finish then will get a screenshot.

Never seen anything else remotely resembling army style. Sandbags make a good wall xD

Not under the sandbags as i've checked and took all of the outer bags for myself so no idea what he's on about. Will look again.

Question for you guys. Say a low level character discovers one of those special PoI. Would the loot still be levelled (so, disappointing and unworthy of such a discovery) or would it be a big game changer? Or is it balanced so that it's still levelled but still overall better than expected loot for low level?

you watched all your loot blow up fella, those landmines can be picked up and redeployed around your base etc.

thats how rare they are. ive only ever found one and blew myself up not seeing the landmines

also ive gotten disappointing loot from the army crates in the police station. pretty disappointing loot all the way around even at lvl 35.
it ok though because it just prolongs getting the flawless weapons. ive still only got a blue shotgun, a green sniper rifle and submachine gun and 1 scooter.

we have seen at least one per map since a12, they were only on navez prior to a12 as i recall

ahh ok yes. i beleive i was playing on navez at the time before the random map

ahh that sucks... maybe there's still a couple I can scavenge before the day 14 horde gets me...
