Random tree direction fall

This ruins the game for me. On every server, I have died every time due to the tree hitting me when falling. It kills instantly, and you get no warning, especially when the game freezes every few minutes. This is a game ender for me. I'll be back when you fix it.

Yes, trees are a bit buggy. I am usually keeping distance while chopping a tree, and when it falls, move away form it in case it falls on my head.

I play with my friend and I honestly make him cut down all the trees, way to risky for me. I've cut down 9 trees of which I died 7 times. Was a very big fan of this game and this just made me dislike it a bit.

Made me dislike it enough to stop playing after 966 hours. I don't think I will be coming back. So many other good survivals out there now.

I mean that's your poragative to just stop playing because of this one thing but I still don't know how people get killed by the trees. The game freezeing sounds like a you problem or optimization problem which of course the game still needs optimizations. And the trees start creaking really loud when they start falling, I've only died from a falling tree once when Alpha 12 was released

I did not see it until the 12.4 update, I had no problem before 12.4. It still has not killed me I jump back in time but that wicked spin the tree does when it starts to fall is big problem, I think lag might be a part of it too. It might have something to do with the new gravity fall when a tree is leaning uphill but the new system wants it to go downhill & it just spins in the air until it decides witch way to go. I have noticed also that you loose the logs on a hill, I chopped down 3 trees on a hill & every log drop fell through the world. I do not report bugs since I am not playing vanilla & some of my changes might cause bugs too even as slight the changes are.

I don't know how you guys are getting killed. I've never been hit by one and they don't appear to fall randomly. They seem to always fall the way I'm facing and just incase I always back away as soon as it's about to fall.

Now there was this guy the other day I killed by chopping trees. I was on a server and he kept standing right next to the trees I was chopping and every time they hit him and eventually it killed him but it was not a one hit kill.

It is always a one hit kill for me. It also doesn't give me enough to to back away.

It's not that hard to count the number of hits it takes to chop a tree down. You have plenty of time to move before it actually falls over that saying you don't get a chance to move indicates that you either don't know the sound a falling tree makes or you are on a game that lags so bad you are going to die no matter what you do.

I had one tree spin after it hit another when I was chopping down hundreds that I planted by each other. I can't see this being something that happens every time unless you're game is bugged out for whatever reason that doesnt affect everyone else.

To the people getting killed by trees, are you on another person's server? Do you have this problem in single player?

Try and find the max distance you can stand from a tree and still chop it. Do not stand right next to the tree you are chopping down. Once you hear the tree fall sound, move back. Do not rush right in to collect the logs as you can still run into the end of the tree and take damage/die.

Not getting this problem in single player, not much help i know but should help narrow down the problem a bit.

i for the life of me cant figure out how people are dying from trees. i have not died once due to a tree falling. of course, i do move out of the way of the slowly falling tree.
