I don't recall any recipe to disassemble bullets on the recent recipes.xml
You can always make your own if you want to.

You should just be able to put the bullet in the deconstruct tab and you'll get it. Unless they did change it very recently, that's how it's been.

There is a schematic for each bullet type and I think you need to read Ammunition Nation to be able to then disassemble the bullets.

Yes, there are schematics for each bullet & shell except magnum still needs enforcer mag. To break down shells you also need the book for forging casings & tips.

I think there are two things you need, the bullets schematic and you need to read a book. Probably either Ammunition Nation or Reloading Weekly. Not sure which because I can't currently play Alpha 12 but I have heard many others talking about it on the forums.

i dont think reloading weekly is a thing i cant find it

The Amunition Nation book allows you to create the molds to craft bullet tips and casings.

The Reloading Weekly book was removed with the introduction of the shotgun slugs.

You now need to find the appropriate schematic for each type of bullet and gun you want to make, with the exception of the "Enforcer Magazine" which allows you to craft both the 44 magnum AND the bullets.

Right, this happened to me before and now again; I couldn't disassemble bullets (I've done this before so I know how to do it), so even though I was sure I read the Ammunition Nation book, I decided to keep looking for another one. Now on day 22 I found one again today, and as I suspected it shows up with the yellow icon indicating that I've already read it, and the "read" option on right click menu is greyed out. But, I still cannot disassemble bullets to get the tips. So yea, it seems it does indeed bug out sometimes...

I have the same problem. I think I've read every book on my main game but whenever I go to break down bullets for bullet tips, the only scrap that comes up is brass *bangs head on wall*
I have every weapon (unless rocket launchers are a real thing lol) but I just cannot make the ammo for them.
