My Thoughts of 7 days after being gone awhile.

I was off for a while playing ark and the game is amazing . I came back to 7 days and I am having trouble getting into it just yet.

I am sure that most of its just because the other game had a lot newer stuff. But one thing im really disapointed in is the way the TREES work.. I mean I like the way it was before. The tree fall animation is a minor let down for me , but trees killing you is very stupid. It is realistic for a tree to kill you but it is very frustrating and unnessasary.

ARK is a work of art, the game has fantastic art and probably a bigger crew working on it. It has patches at least 2 times a week, and usually doesnt do rollbacks. I understand its because ark has 1 map with no custom blocks so I don't blame 7 days for the resets.

It's hard to keep intrest though because 7 days needs a lot more stuff as in perks, wether survival, vehicles, maybe a polish on graphics (but this can come later) and the models need revamped, specially the bears and motor bike cause it looks like it came right off the 3d model purchase site.

I loved 7 days and now im spoiled a bit. I still want to fall in love with 7 days again but its gonna take some time.

OH BTW ... I love how ark makes it so every block you build starts a protection radius... I wish 7 days had something like this... The protection blocks are nice for prefab houses and land claiming, but your blocks should have their own level of protection on them based on what material they are made out of.

Strange, for me its the exact opposite regarding 7 Days & ARK. Bought both games during the summer sale and have 164 hours in 7 Days now and only 4 in ARK. ARK got really boring, REALLY fast and has pretty much nothing to offer exept the nice optics. All the survival game aspects are way better realised in 7 Days in my opinion.
But i guess its a matter of what you look for in a game.

I've had my eye on Ark for a while, but unfortunately I'm just not into the whole cavemen, dinosours and alien tech theme, and it doesn't even have voxel terrain, so I imagine I would get bored fast.

Still loving 7DTD, and the zombie theme suits my tastes better.

Some that got it before it came to steam (those whom kickstarted it) have played it "a little" longer than me.

TFP isn't paying me either. Sounds like they could use some competent testers though (some of theirs cannot craft ammo by A12 ffs), so if they are hiring I would certainly like to be on the pay roll.

As for it not being popular the statistics STILL show the opposite to that. Posted that link enough times for you to know better though.

As per usual you just spit typical BS you never bother to fact check. Though I suppose the only surprise here is that you are still allowed to post on the 7D2D forum, and not that you carry on as per usual drowning in your own ignorance.

And 30 hardcores who believe this game should be like l4d2 or call of duty... the same.
But i have a large group of pps who left... while i was alone in the end.
Believe or not, THAT counts i think.
Still... i hope it will be better in an unknown future, then i would return cuz this game was once my absolute favorite game in 28 years game expirience ... and yes, i have high standards about games and even higher expectations how i waste my free time.

I still like 7DTD very much, but I miss being able to build a 99% secure base.

I know many hardcore players are against this, but finally having a "secure" zone in the game after many game days it's like a reward for all the hard work at gathering, surviving and building.

Now, with the new NERFED spikes that's not possible anymore so I have lost a bit of interest in the game since I can't get that hard-earned-reward feeling that made me love this game.

Maybe OP is talking about something like this, I don't know, but this is my own reason for losing a bit of interest in the game since the latest release.

fanboy look at my hours in 7 days... i been playing this game since almost beginning alpha.. and if you noticed my tone instead of being a raging chump you would see it hurts me to be less intrested in a game that had me screaming more since it came out.

I was hoping to see if others had this problem a bit let down by 7 days lately... I have been waiting for alpha 12 or 13 for ages and now that its here its not really doing it for me, and I noticed some element changes that i didnt like as much....

Example: new trees system, and the wood that you used to be able to collect on ground you have to chop now then a log comes out of it.

yea i miss the earned feeling.. i love the pvp i been playing this game like crazy, then I stopped after griefers or hackers would be near me in an infinite world they would still find me 10000 miles away..

I noticed the major things were being let go like ... the radius where people can hear you... they can hear you underground bedrock from above .... auger is heard like 1000 miles away... Protections stones are near imposible to get and frustrating as hell since people can just break all your stuff like its cardboard when you lose them..

I like how ark has tiers... thath wood stone metal... and if you have stone tools they basically do nothing to wood.... definately less to stone and metal...


You can say im a FanBOY all you want but it's open discussion and comparison between two games that makes developers open their eyes to bettering their wonderful creations. I was simply saying I love ARK, but its not 7 days to die... I want 7 days to die to strive for better potential like ark has.

Since I played 7 days to die i thought they were the best alpha out there... very attentive developers... then I played ark... these developers make 2 patches a week if not more and 1 patch every 2 weeks with content! Unfortunately 7 days has to reset maps so people just keep seeing the backroll which makes people lose intrest quicky... specially when you have to lose levels and bases 100 times over and over.

I am level 67/70 in ark PVE and i just started level 8 on PVP... I love zombie games too so ark and 7 days are perfect to jump between I am just feeling like it's hard to come back to 7 days. I have yet to notice hacks and glitches in ARK infact they give bounties for real money to people for pointing these things out.
