How to ? Bullet tip mold in 12.4 (Solved)

Since they've removed the Ammunition nation book that was unlocking the bullet tip mold for the forge, how do we get that mold in 12.4 ?

I have the 9 mm schematic but don't see any recipe for a bullet tip mold. Am I missing something there ?

Ammunition nation has not been removed. It still spawns and is still required to unlock bullet tip and bullet casing molds.

From the Official A12 release notes :

•Changed a lot of books have been converted into schematics that look like item with a small blueprint in the corner. Like iron armor leather armor pieces are now unlocked with individual schematics. The leather book now only locks leather creation. Many other books have been changed to individual schematics. All firearm unlocks have been converted into individual schematics. Gas cans now unlock as a schematic as well. Ammunition Nation has be removed and all individual ammo types except the 44 have been converted to schematics. The Claw hammer is now unlocked with a schematic as well as the new flaming arrows.

The part saying "Ammunition Nation has be removed" made me think the bullet tip mold was unlocked by another book or schematic.

The answer is right there in front of you. This is quoted from what you posted immediately following "Ammunition Nation has be removed" it says" all individual ammo types except the 44 have been converted to schematics".

The magnum rounds are in the book specific to the magnum still. All other rounds require a schematic now.

No there is still a book for casings & tips, just read it yesterday & there are indivisual schematics for bullets & shells. Schematics only deal with making indivisual shells & bullets & the book has to do with forging the tips & casings.

Well that makes no sense, even less after this explanation. It's no wonder the OP is confused.

i know i found a book that allowed me to disassemble my 9mm ammo. make a bullet tip mold and start making bullets.

Thats the one & now you can forge those items but you still need to find the schematic for every bullet & shell. The magnum I think you just need the enforcer mag., don't think there is a schematic for that.

Ammunition Nation hasn't been completely removed - it simply no longer teaches you any bullet types and instead only teaches you the applicable molds.

Found 2 schematics for the Sniper Rifle and I've got the most of the bullets and weapons, but I didnt found the Tip & Casing Book.

I'm on day 50 now.

Tested it out with the CM. They really made it a chore now to keep bullet crafting straight. For 9mm ammo you need to read the 9mm ammom scematic, and you have to Ammunition Nation to make a bullet to mold. Tip molds universal, but to make any other ammo type you need the specific schematic for that ammo. If you are still having trouble start a SP game up and mess with it while cheat mode is on.

Wow, and I thought I was having it bad on day 35 (50 minute days) and still haven't found the Pistol book. As annoyed as I am that I have found 2 exploding crossbow schematics (which are labeled as "rareBooks" in loot.xml btw), I'm fairly content since I rolled a flawless pistol drop off of a zombie cop xD.

Still, I want that pistol book so I can attach my flashslight.

There is something peculiar about the random function. I would consider myself a meticulous looter, looting any and everything that's lootable including the now over 1k zeds I've slain. So that's over 1000 rolls of the dice and I've rolled several rare items but not one pistol book? Odd.

I think it is stupid to put that flashlight on the pistol. Who does that? It would be so unbalanced and heavy for a hand gun.

We should have the flashlight in the off hand with a pistol like the guy in the pics. If not, it needs to be a seprate item. The current flashlight is too large for the pistols. Works as a placeholder just fine IMO otherwise.

It is brighter than using it by itself & brighter than the mining helmet.

I think the idea that duct tape by itself being enough to mount the light is dumb, but if it were me, I'd strip the bulky casing off of it and rig it to the pistol instead of allowing the aluminum/steel bulk to weigh the gun down.

It isn't exactly like flashlights are complex mechanisms that require their shells.
