Secrets and Similar. [Radio Transmission?]
Thread for secrets and similar.

I was on a multiplayer server, at the barn near Spillway Lake. I had heard a creepy music box at the lake itself, and then snatches of music later that cut in and out as I walked in and out of the area. I was kind of creeped out, as I had played for some time and never heard music, and the music box wasn't supposed to play here. But the screams weren't supposed to be in the burnt forest, so I figured it had changed. But I kept playing and talking to my friend, and then I heard a guy on a radio start talking about groups of people and "it all went wrong" and stuff like that. I wasn't sure if it was a walkie talkie, or a hidden radio, or a lost memory coming back... Anyways, he kept talking for a while and eventually shut up. Anyone else heard him?

Sounds interesting, unfortunately havnt heard it as of yet. Hopei get to in the future tho haha.

If you can get a video or audio snap of that, it would be great!

I fear, though, that the sounds you heard were in real life, in your house. Perhaps from a secret cavity in a wall behind your computer? I would, if I were you, not ignore the standing hairs on your neck...

and move out.

It was definitely ingame, since whenever the music cut out it cut out as well and the person sitting next to me would have heard it and commented on my "WOAH RADIO TRANSMISSION KEWL A SECRET". Anyways, I don't know if I can record it, but I'll look at it. I'm going to be hanging around Spillway Lake for a couple more days anyways.

Close to 600 hrs played and never had this occur. I suspect it is specific to a server you are playing on. Or a well played prank by someone you know. Perhaps from a secrect cavity in a wall? :)

Have you ever been to that barn? I don't know many people and it was a vanilla server, just the linux version. It was a personal server, not a public one.

It seems like people are saying "You're lying..." and nobody is looking for it. Perhaps it's rare and specific to that area?

I do not belive this is a feature within the game itself. With alot more humor and sarcasm people are more or less telling you the same thing. I have been in that area many times myself. I have never heard any raidio tranmissions. (Sounds like a cool feature TFP could use some how. I always liked teh radio in fallout3) The only music box like music I have heard in game, is in the burnt biome. Not heard anything like that elsewhere in the game.

Kami, I've been hearing screams in the burnt forest and no music box there. Maybe the radio transmission is supposed to be somewhere else and my maps of where sounds should be are messed up? Also, perhaps it was my speakers picking up IRL radio signals. I'm becoming less and less sure of this myself... I'm going to try to get it to play again, until then this discussion is over unless proof of it existing or not existing comes up. However, it would be nice if TFP posted here saying it was or wasn't in the game so I could finally have proof that it was real, or that it was just something else playing that I thought was part of the game.

You could have a sound issue perha[s. Or we could have a 7D2D urban legend in the making here. Along with another thread (unrealted to this one) about a trenchcoat stalker that kills you and hunts deer. No joke. Someone is selling this like we are buying it lol.

Why not record your playthrough when this occurs, and share the video with us? May provide some better insight then all th especualtion here so far :)
