Nice. Long barrel shotgun with an AR. Where's the sawed off shotgun? - not there.
I understand the uses and ammo and all this stuff but "game logic" wise - why do we have the ability to saw the barrel down of a long barrel shotgun when that makes a much worse weapon with no redeeming features compared to the long barreled version?
I'd assume some stats/effects are missing such as speed of use for the weapons. A sawed off shotgun is used to conceal the thing and/or for rather close quarters use.
Now look at that "home defense" video and picture standing in the hallway of your house or appartment and trying to turn to aim... Welcome to one reason sawed off guns are used in these environments as well as pistols vs using AR's and/or long barrel shotguns.
Tight quarters makes a difference in weapon choice and a sawed off or long barrle, at "can hit me" range will blow a very large hole through a lot of things.
To the OP: If it isn't "hit me" range (they are close enough to smack you) - don't expect a great deal from a sawed off shotgun but if they are - that deserves a bug report.
Oh and on lead: True except if you go mining. I tend to pull, quite literally, tons of the stuff out compared to every other material. STACKS that make huge quantities of lead.
Lead isn't a big issue for me - getting enough paper to use it can be.
AHAHAHAH ARE YOU KIDDING ME
Yeah no, thats not how ballistics work bud.
You take a 12 guage point blank, or a 12 guage at all, yeah granted you MIGHT survive the initial blast, but youre probably dying in the next 30 seconds to 2 minutes max from blood loss and possible organ failure due to the fact they have countless little holes/pellets in them. Also youre probably not going to be brushing off getting shot at all, you get hit by a 12 youre not going to want to stand right back up and keep swinging.
Also shotguns arent as innacurate as theyre cracked up to be, you'de be pretty suprised how low the spread is on your basic shotgun, remington, mossberg, you name it.
I can't help but notice that this thread has been necro'd from June 2014.
I always picture someone getting a notification for a discussion from a year a half ago and it amuses me :)
