No block physics?
I went into creative mode and was testing wood/rebar beams, platforms, support etc. I then noticed that there were no structural integrity or mass or something went wrong as you can see below. There are floating blocks and look at how long that rebar beam is in the back. What happened and how to turn physics back on?

EDIT: 8.5 Map running the red eagles no flicker+reload mod.

most likely a glitch or something with creative mode or something from a previous update completely jacked up gravity

Can you replicate this in creative mode? or does the blocks fall for you?

You can balance frames on top of grass and bushes in Survival, too:

Ahhh ok...that must of what happened. Strong blades of grass o.O

Peronsally, I could care less for structural integrity in this game - but, I also like the idea of it, and adds a nice learning curve. So, do what you want pimps.

Wonder if theres an official word that its bugged atm?

I was near the farm playing around with some aspects of the game just today. Went to cross the bridge and it falls apart where you walk on it. so I figured I would play with the rocket launcher...

I ended up with a beam of bridge metal suspended in mid air not touching anything. It was 6 or so blocks high, and about 6 or so blocks off the surface of the water. I think something has been off for quite some time though as I have seen similar things. Like people blowing up the metal silo infornt of the factory. Then when the smoke clears it remais standing, only the entire base of the silo is gone and it is effectively floating, Still room for fixing and tweaks to say the least.

I've tried to take down one of the towers by the factory a few times.. Once, back in an alpha where metal stuff gave you scrap metal (that was my motivation) and a couple other times over the last few patches just out of curiosity. I can still blow the whole bottom off and it just floats. This is just an assumption on my part but I'm sure the physics engine is a work in progress.

If you have floating things, try placing a pier of wooden frames leading toward the floating section. Make sure the pier is at least 4 blocks when connecting to the floating section. It will sometimes collapse then.

Or try shooting the floating bits. Some game's physics will then kick in on the object. I haven't tried it (or needed it) in 7DTD yet.

You can easily take the floating bits down I mentioned. The issue was they were floating in the 1st place. Shooting them and/or adding a block at any position makes the magic come to a crashing halt.

I had this problem too in creative mode. I stacked 2 metal trusses then created a beam of metal trusses 64+ blocks long, suspended one block off the ground.

Then for the heck of it I dug a hole under the stack. Et Voila! Floating buildings!

That sure is odd. Were you able to walk on that span? I can't even walk across the trusses in the ceiling of the junkyard without having it collapse.

Yea, that was very first experience building with trusses. I was testing the integrity of different types of blocks and I thought, wow, metal trusses sure are nice!

Then I tried the same set up, but off a stack of 3, not 2. At 2 blocks off the gound, the 16th truss falls off.
