Iron bars. i heard the other one crafted with 9 iron bars in a X pattern could be shot thru but i tested it in A12 and i couldnt so i guess it was bugged, i havent tested it in A12.1.

Im not sure about others tbh.

Iron bars and trussing are both good blocks to shoot through. Just keep in mind the only weapons that will pass through blocks are guns cause they shoot rays. Crossbow, bow and rocket launcher shoots entities and can not shoot through stuff.

We turn the reinforced metal ramp at 2nd block to make an angled shooting path at both sides of the door.

Thats also a good idea, stone or metal ramps, can you confirm if making a V shaped hole with 2 ramps allows dogs to go through? or if it safe?

probably make a V on a corner but a block would have to be in corner 0T/ 0 \T0 center 0 is door & T's slashes are ramps, other 0's are blocks. You could do the same thing off a corner with 2 angled slits & then you could do a V off that & be able to shoot 2 directions & no, nobody gets through opening comfirmed.

This^ very clever lol Yea iron bars trussing or sealed corners as was already explained are the way to go.. guns shoot Ray Cast's while bows instatiate projectiles porojectiles are physical objects and Ray cast's are just lines of sight
I use unity 5 lol had lots of practice with those.

I dont know, metal trussing is hard to see through and wood windows are useless now

This not trussing, it is WF ramps, RM ramps or concrete ramps, they are rotated until they are sideways, facing the right direction & put on the second row.

can you loot through them?

Of couse you would not have a storage or any kind of lootable item placed within lotting distance. Theese are on the exterior part of your bldg. doors, corners or middle of bldg.

dropped backpack for example

Never had that issue but your BP would not be seen from outside since the lower block will block it & have never benn hit by a Z since the path is at an angle & at doors they concentrate on getting in so you just blast away.
