giant dog pack

Anyone else run into a giant dog pack with 20 or so dogs?

I was digging in my backpack and got jumped and surrounded by dogs before I even realized they were on top of me (scared the living crap out of me), it was near my spawn but I was killing dogs for days to get my stuff pack, luckily they spread out after they kill you so u can take 1on1 fights with them.
Never seen so many gore blocks after!

I do like how this game never stops surprising me, there's always some crazy random thing that happens and it is pretty awesome for that.

Oh and later a bear joined the party... it looked like a dog was humping it, very funny, why didn't I screenshot any of this?

Yeah, some time on day 6 (before 7th day hordes) dog hordes can spawn. Basically a warning that day 7 is almost upon you.

yes dog packs are now in ranging from 5 - 40 dogs depending on the server and just like you i got jumped by a massive pack....everytime i think i know this game the devs go spring a new suprise ..goto love those devs 8)

seems that the 1st "dog day" is day 6, but after the 1st one it randomizes, 2nd dog day was day 16 and 3rd day 25, that kind of randomness really keeps you on ya toes :D

since 12.1 all dogs have been dieing 1 hit with my crossbow even on body shots, i hope this is temporary as it takes the horror away from dog packs if they can be taken down so very easily.
