Can't place crafted doors in pre-existing structures?
Title says it all, as I haven't seen anyone else mentioning it I thought I'd drop it here.
This is especially apparent in buildings with existing doorways; haven't tested with metal doors, but hatch seem fine.

Other than that, very few minors problems since the patch considering all the game changes.
I get FPS drop for a few seconds whenever I open my inventory and sometime when rummaging through a container and it's raining I get rain particle effect inside but that's about it.

Oh and random gen is pretty random sometime :P
At one exit of a town few houses wide, I had a road with lower elevation splitting right trough a giant cliff then sharply turning right only a few blocks in... I didn't look very natural.

Great job Fun Pimps

Are you SURE there isn't part of an old door frame in the way? Some interior doorways look clear, but they have a metal rim around them that you have to break before you can put yours in. Also, you have to have SOLID blocks on both sides of the door you are installing. Window panes, tin coverings, boarded up windows, these are not solid and unless you replace them with frames (upgraded frames) you won't be able to place the door.

Ummmm, not sure about the metal rim, I'll have to check it out.
Might be that I did just that then tried to put a door between wooden frame instead of solid blocks.

Thanks
Itried this too yesterday spent the good part of2hours, IRL, trying to mount a door on the second level of my structure. Was unsucessful.

I was able to place wooden doors without issue. I will try to place one upstairs.

I've also had trouble putting doors into prefab doorways.

you need 3 solid blocks to mount a door, one underneath the door adn one either side, some blocks (eg trussing) dont count as solid blocks, once the door is laid you change the solid blocks either side to anything you want, experiment a bit with it.

with this many people having trouble tho it does sound like a bug.

You can't place a door, if there is already a doorframe in the way, so if you're in a prefab building, just break the already existing doorframe...

ya, for them to put the boards up as things you hafta hack thru to get past dorrways WITHOUT a locked door, they had to put up the little runners. hack those down and you can place a door fine

I've also found that you need to make sure the door can swing open without hitting anything. I see this when trying to put a door into a room build into a cave. The surrounding rocks have to be cleared far enough away from the door swing.
