Navezgane Map has Shoot Smart gunrange
I haven't followed the devs much, but I know which gun range one of them frequents...
Shoot Smart, in Fort Worth, TX. The Alliance location on I-35 headed southbound, just coming into Fort Worth.
It really got me when I happened upon the gunrange in the snow biome, because I used to do IT for them. The prefab is almost totally complete, except the server closet is missing as well as the hallway that runs down the right side of the range, in the main building.
I especially liked the fact that the gunsmith shop was included.

Anyone else seen recognizable locations (aside from red mesa aka black mesa)?

Are you talking about Navesgane, Arizona? One of the POI is modeled after a gun range in Texas? Because I have lived in Phoenix, a stone`s throw from Mesa and Navesgane for some time.

I thought Navezgane was a fictional name... is there really a Navezgane in AZ?

Any recongizable locations?

The odd ranger station, I've seen in real life. I think a bowling alley in the game, I've seen in real life. And maybe the layout of one of the diners was from one of the diners I visited in South Dakota. Otherwise, not sure.

I think their was a house poi based off a horror/slasher film. It was halloween, nightmare on elm street or something like that.

This wouldn't surprise me as their main office is in Dallas.
There are also other buildings that mimic actual buildings in the games real-world location.

Yes. It's where the game is based. Navezgane County, Arizona is the main location in 7 Days to Die. Ironically, the Apache word “Navezgane” means Killer of Monsters.

There are actually three or four like that. A couple of video game adaptations as well.

Yes it's fictional, or yes it's real? There is no Navezgane County, or any Navezgane place name. At most I would say it's inspired by a general location in Arizona. You can find the forest, desert, snow and sadly burned forest biomes in fairly close proximity so they did a good job on that.

The name Navezgane is fictional, but it's based on a real location. Look up Whiteriver, Arizona in Navajo county. You will find that its location corresponds to the road signs in the game. Much of the topography is very similar, as well as a few of the POI's in the game.

Ok, it wasn't clear to me from the way you said it. Yes, I know about the Whiteriver connection. I've actually been there a number of times. I can't say that I recognize any POIs though, and the butte topography of Navezgane is more reminiscent of areas further north.

Having lived in Phoenix for decades, I can assure you there is no Navesgane, AZ. or, Navesgane County, AZ. It`s a fictional place. Some signs from Arizona are real, some are close, and I don`t think anyone has pinned down the distance thing when trying to plot places, POI, triangulate, etc, and the like. The interstate signs are true I`m sure, I`ve never checked. Not sure any poi or geographical locations are exactly real, similar is all I can say. The Graphics team do have license to paint it up pretty. Fine by me.

As seven mentioned, traveling around AZ, and on given times around those areas, you can indeed find different biomes as fires rage and sweep out of control as they are wont to do with dry tinder, til they stop upon reaching the green barriers, which turn to snow at steeper elevations, and then desert heat, cacti, and sand just a stone throw away, if you run out of gas and coasrt backwards down the steep roads lol. All but the wasteland. I saw snow here in Phoenix once in 33 years, (maybe twice?). The once, a flake or two landed in my palm.

Navesgane, where all the Veteran 7DTD players were born. I mean the old Veterans. * Not the ones who have played 80 hours and cry because it ain`t released yet:-) JK
