7 Days to Die

Statistiche:
A12. "How was it for you darling?"
Well, after a lot (and I mean a LOT) of deaths, a lot of running in the dark, and crying over a lost backpack with a well thumbed copy of 'Readers Wives' in it, I'm impressed in a strange and new way. Despite being savaged by dogs lurking behind every other cotton plant and generally having my gamer ego flattened like a badly placed Blueberry seedling - I'm impressed.
Having 40+ years of gaming experience wound back to "Noob Mk.I" - I'm impressed in a weird and unexpected way.

Yeah, it's gotten tough, and true the lighting can be strange when a drifting raincloud throws you into total darkness, just as you're tippy-toeing through a maze of defensive spikes, only to emerge - 2 steps later - into brilliant sunshine - but that's British summers for ya. I've struggled up to the dizzy acheivement heights of being able to craft an Orange stone axe, but only because the couple of frames I hastily threw atop one of the new large random rocks, has become a functioning base for three of us, with just enough room to place our sleeping bags. In fact, mine's on the roof!

I know I have about as much chance of crafting a motorbike as I have of having one of the dearly departed, in-game nurses ask me to meet her round the back of Shamways, for some stinky finger with a twist. But do I care? No. I really don't!

To be honest, just sat in my precariously placed redwood plank coffin, listening to the rain hammering down on my shack, while I stare out the window into total darkness at 2pm, made me realise I'd had at least 20 (real) minutes, doing just that, tells more about this games immersion factor, than a dozen of these rambling diatribes of mine ever could.

Verdict so far: We're in Deep Doo Doo, but at least we're in it together. Even seasoned players who'd normally breeze through the game with their eyes closed, now find themselves on a level playing field with relative Noobs like myself, and in my game world that makes for a resounding success for Joel and the team.
Fun Pimps we'd salute you, but we have both hands covering our nuts as we creep around another horde of 25,0000 dogs.
How's your day been?

the struggle bro
That post was so deep, so accurate. My SO and I giggled and agreed with it completely.
Lmao, Best / funniest post I've seen!!
I'm liking the thrashing I'm getting, but something about the new night time mechanics are weird. I was used to the 35% night time meaning night passed faster rather than it just getting dark later.
Toodeep4me.

Best thread summer 2015. I'm also finding that the immersion has really drawn me in, and TFP have done a fantastic job implementing the new lighting/weather systems (despite the bugs).

Awesome thread GAD.

Bring on the pain! - A reluctant veteran from the start.

You Sir, win at internetting!

10/10 would read again
Like you I have been gaming since the days of pong and yes that makes me old, apart from a few tweaks and other things, this new patch has kicked easy mode in the nuts and sent it off to another planet. Epic imo, it was just to easy, find a store fill up on purples, find cave, build base, get bored, lol.
Now I have to survive, search and hunt, also to show how much it's changed after all the time I've been playing this shiny game I now have to turn the sound on (which makes my wife giggle when I turn round asking has that always made that noise, lol) Love the new patch good to see TFP getting things sorted and back on the right path, take your time and keep up the good work. The wife and I are loving the changes, the attmosphere, the terrain, the face munchers and critters and the fact my crossbow is still epics even with drop off added, beer and cake all round.
Oh my god... I think this is the moment I've been waiting for...

*steps out from crowd*

*looks around*

*Starts a slow clap*
Give this guy / girl a cookie.

I have a great time with this game.
