Stuck in desert in a water tower

Its day 4, I died once because the roof of the water tower caved in when I was trying to build it as my first hideout base. By day 2 I had it finished. I have not been lucky finding any books and since killing zombies became so hard, I stopped hunting them and am just cowering in the building, at night 4 after 5 hordes passed, they seemingly started to attack my fortification (may be a feral horde) I quickly alt + f4 cuz it scared the ♥♥♥♥ outa me...

Dunno what to do, on every side of that thing I have only barns with dogs, a dozen cemeteries and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is not worth risking my neck for. Food is scarce and my vicinity is already all harvested. Been on a yucca diet for days now. Supplies running low but I got 200 arrows.. Which are quite worthless... I hate the desert but I am tooo afraid to leave my safezone, every 4 hours ingame time a horde passes by, the 2 last ones were missed only by a second as I heard them marching towards my base. I dunno if spikes do anything, since I only had em set up sicne day 3 and wasnt able to climb down until now.

this build made me more afraid than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 7 nights @ frieddies jumpscare ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I dunno if I should give the game a 10/10 or just stop playing.

Hhahhahahaha i know how you feel dude! im literally in the exact same boat. Cleared out a water tower an like sat back in my chair to like calm down lol

Get down between hoards and run like hell. what seems safe will not stay that way ;P
