Add a sidecar to the minibike?...

..and enable shooting from it by a second player. Would help with seeking out parts for a second minibike, team-mates could travel together better and would be awesome fun.

Yeah, a pillion add-on, trick-nuts or an extra seat - That works for me too. Its anoying when you're working with a team-mate and only have 1 minibike. Maybe make it go 30% slower or something as a ballance?

I think back to all the complaints I heard when the basket was randomly dropping everything you put in. Imagine when it starts randomly dropping your passenger.

Maybe fit EITHER a basket OR a 2nd seat? Or both if it works.

I'm sure they could make it work. I've been a bit critical in the past of new stuff that hasn't worked 100%, Val. But as you pointed out it is in Alpha, and you're right. I think its a good idea. It would definitely make co-op better. What say you?

Wow, have you guys never actually seen a minibike? You can barely get them to move one person let alone two and a sidecar. It's a lawnmower engine, not the most powerful thing in the world.

have you ever put a flawless engine and battery init it can get going pretty fast so it could handle two people.

I'm talking about real minibikes, not the game version. It's modelled after actual minibikes similar to ones my cousin owned and they puttered. Lawnmowers don't make for a fast vehicle when you add in a single rider let alone when you double the weight they are carrying with a passenger. These were always single person vehicles.

Yup that would work....and extra wheel/tire bolted to a piece of scrap metal siding that lays flat and then duct tape an office chair onto it...boom sidecar :P

For what it s worth I grew up in a very mechanic-centric family (and friends oddly enough - I'm the oddball) and I've seen a LOT of jerryrigged, scrapped together minibikes and go-carts. I've seen some that were more ghetto looking than the one in the game. And some of them DID have passenger carts attached to them. A lot of them, really, in some way or another. They handled it fine.

Now, I'm no mechanic and shudder at the thought of engines and oil. But if some hick in the south that can barely read or write can smack together a two-passenger minibike out of a bunch of old abandonned parts in a junk yard... I don't know. To me that must mean its possible. Seeing is believing.

Beyond all that, who cares? Its a zombie survival game. Dead thigns don't really work like that either. Instead of getting hung up on the "that isn't realistic" why not just play the game and have fun. Having dual passenger bikes could be fun - thats reason enough for me to want it.

+1 I'm all for it, but TFP will have to put in some serious work to get the synching right on servers. Ever played minecraft mods, such as Flan's, and you aren't synched correctly in the vehicle your buddy is driving? Not a pretty sight. With any luck, however, there will be mad max style death machines in this game before development is through.

Come to think of it, it probably would be tricky to program.

Having said that (aside from being better for co-op play) ; I could just imagine a bunch of irresponsible loonies setting up some kind of a crazy desert sidecar racing circuit ....

Yeah but what about that picture of the 800 lb guy riding the minibike that we've all seen? Of course 2 people could ride one. Depends what you've got in it for an engine, all minibikes aren't the exact same you know.
