you used to be able to crawl and climb over obsticles, but that has been removed for some reason.

You could do it a few Patches back, but the Pimps said it was a bug and not intended, so they fixed it, personally I thought it was more realistic to be able to crawl through one Block.

It was a side effect of the conversion from Unity 4 to 5, and it essentually broke the game, because POI's weren't meant to be broken into so easily, and it also made it too easy to be able to evade zombies, which aren't designed to fit through a 1x1 gap.

They said they are considering re-adding it later, but would have to redesign/balance certain aspects of the game first...

Well....it was a nice, unintentioned, feature when it occured, even the part where you had to jump just right to clear those lower, homemade, dutch doors; while the evil empire was biting at your hind quarters.

It was a "logical" removal, since you could run up to a house, break a block, jump through, loot it and be long gone out the back window before the zombies following you had a chance to come get you.

Unfortunately it's a bad removal since you can just drop wood frames into the two block space that do pretty much the same thing.

Bring it back please. Just have it as a toggleable option, for the purists.

MadMole stated this was never intentional and today he mentioned that they will likely not be adding a ton of toggle-able options for various reasons. The game is easy to modify so just do the change yourself.

The Zeds in this game are evil. So finding any advantage over them, intended or not, makes it more fun to play.

not only that, since this change, i'm finding i am avoiding towns to raid. most of the loot isn't worth the hassle of getting due to having to fight an entire town of zombies. who, i might add, magically know where you are over the other side of town.

As it is you are either hiding your base or getting broken into just due to the ratio of creation time vs destruction time for most materials being insane.


Either way seems most people that complain are people cussing at a door while beating on it with a stone axe...even though there is an open window around the side of the house...

Man, I sooooo disagree- We built our player made bases with traps that required someone using 1B (and do not work without it) and our bases were nearly raid proof. We would build and build and then invite the server to raid/attack us for testing purpouses and overtime we found the best ways to create a base- Yes, you could raid us but it was very...very difficult.

-Now, lets talk about what makes the game easy- Everything. I think they need to totally remove booze from the game because it makes the 7th day horde completley avoidable- Avoiding the 7th day hoirde makes the game easier than 1B and if the reason for removing 1B wastomake the game harder- Why is the 7th day horde never a threat? OH wait,dont even need booze for that. Running speed needs nerfed and fatigue/energy nerfed as well because you can outrun the 7th day horde without booze even.

THATS a start on making this game more difficult because anyone who dies or has their base destroyed by a horde (no matter how large)needs to L2P . A simple escape route off of a balcony and you can just run from them and they will try to follow you and then leave your base totally alone.

Nerdpoling needs fixed/removed also- And double windows removed- Who actually uses the doolr? L2P. Even with 1B its quicker to nerdpole to a window and bust the window(s) out and walk inside (with less work breaking 2 windows than breaking 1 meter of boards to 1B and MORE protection for the home you are searching) leaving the house pretty much zombieproof....back in the day, stealth was an option but now that you need to level you pretty much kill everything anyhow which is easier than stealth.

Whole game is easy-Removing 1B was stupid and doesnt make the game harder or easier-Its just dumb.
