Money keeps disappearing from inventory
I finally sold about 30 gold nuggets and 50 silver nuggets to a trader. I ended up with about 14K moneys. An hour later(in real time) I only had 800 left. That was yesterday, today I got up, logged into the game and went to the same trader only to find I had ZERO money left. Is this a known bug?

No. You have to physically have the dukes in your inventory. If you stash them in a box or in a vehicle, your character will display $0.

Heres a recent thread that might be of use.

The money in game, aka Duke's Casino Tokens, are an actual item in your inventory that can be thrown away/stored by the player, they look like a golden casino token. If they're not on your person, they aren't usable nor counted towards the counter in the top right of the inventory.

These tokens can be smelted in a forge for 1 brass each. And a few people have made that mistake of smelting their money without realizing it.

Lol are we gonna have another thread EXACTLY like one we had a couple months ago? "I put all my money in a chest and now it's not in my pockets anymore".

Yes, Yes they are. When you do a quest, you're rewarded with tokens. When you sell an item, you recieve tokens. They are currency; Not unalike to the bottlecaps used as currency in fallout games.

Congrats, that's enough to buy yourself an assembled 4x4, if you can find a trader selling one!

Another tip about dukes, they can be smelted if you ever need brass.
