How do i download maps?

Maps?? to my knolwedge its just navezgane or a random gen map...the forums are littered with posts on good map seeds. but np dlc or downloadable maps that i know.

I think at the moment, no one can create their own maps yet. I believe that I heard that it is a planned feature for the future.

oh WHAT really my friend has 4 maps downloaded from his friends and loves them but he moved out and i dont no his number and dosint have facebook and i cant find him on steam to ask him so now im a bit sad :(

He might have downloaded them as worlds that some other people were playing and uploaded somewhere for people to see what they were doing. All that takes is zipping and uploading your save games. It isn't really the world creation as you can get those worlds just with the seeds, just not their bases and such.

You don't need to download maps, just name your world the same name as somebody else's, the random generation is actually just based on the "seed" name of your world, enter the same thing, and it will always be the exact same map generated every time.

So all you need to do is search the forum for seed names, there's plenty to choose from.

MOST REPLIES ARE WRONG! People do create their own Custom maps, I myself am not sure where to find or download them, BUT I do know one CUSTOM map that looks good, created by a Youtuber & here is the link to the video that shows what the map "Superior Shores" has to offer, I was looking for a map that has an Ocean as I have always wanted to have a base in a forest/green area that has the Ocean out the back (& I dont mean a lake I mean the Ocean!) I REALLY hope the devs "The Fun Pimps" add a new map soon, I think its been needed for some time now & what we need in that new map is an OCEAN! I already know they did create a "Raft" that I was able to spawn in not long ago but it seems to have been removed making me think they accidentally added it too early. Made lots of custom maps using Nitrogen.. you can make maps with just a paint editor too if your savy & abit of a nerd lol
