Listening to music while playing
Just thought I'd see if I was alone in listening to certain music while playing this awesome game.

Don't get me wrong it's not all the time as I like to immerse myself fully but on 7 day horde nights when you really don't need to listen out for z's as they know your location it's nice to have some kick ♥♥♥ music to slaughter them to (with relevance obv)

Only asking coz I just ended a 7th night with Free Bird while running away from a rather large horde. It felt fitting :)

We tend to listen to the radio, Planet Rock or Classic FM.
I did have a playlist for when we played Left4Dead which mostly consisted of Disturbed, Rammestein, Type O Negative and Slipknot with a bit of Jethro Tull thrown in for that WTF effect.

But yeah, different music for different games, Eve had a lot of old school psychedelic/prog rock with a heavy dose of jazz and folk thrown in, unless mining and then it tended to be classical.
And so on and so forth.......the joys of an ecclectic taste in music

Ahh Jethro Tull that takes me back lol.

An ecclectic taste in music is the best way to be but I tend to listen to a lot of prog rock/metal purely coz of the length and irregular time signatures. Makes for some great gaming music

...I'm a nerd.

I listen to audiobooks usually if i'm listening to anything- Sometimes audiobooks about Zombies.Sometimes about Star trek.

If I were to listen to music though while playing I would be pimping the gangrsta Rap while riding my minibike through hub city, The West side of hub ity 'aint no joke dawg'

This is the only game I do not play with music. I listen for danger instead, I feel too exposed with music playing.

I watch people playing 7DTD on Twitch on my iPad while I play on my PC.

Yeah I do that for 6 out of 7 days but tend to expose myself on the 7th day for the horde to have a go lol

I could do the rap thing if i enjoyed rap at all lol

I was kinda thinking the same thing after I wrote it but couldn't bring myself to edit it as I'd probably do that in the apocalypse...

I'm weird like that....

i love the atmosphere, so no.

though i wouldent mind a music player item that allowed you to play audio files. my poor laptop would explode if i tried to run a media player alongside 7days.

Usually in games like this I try not to have any background noise that can distract me. Need to able to hear the audio clues of zombies approaching. In this game however I find that the audio is so broken that it doesn't really matter. It isn't like I can ever tell how far away something is by the sound anyway.

When they fix audio range I'll go back to not listening to music during gameplay. Until then, let the jams play. :)
