The handle-mod that makes weapons use less stamina might also be helpful if you aren't perked into Strength and SexualTRex for their stamina-regen abilities. And if you ARE already perked into Strength/SexTRex then you should probably be using a SteelClub instead of the foam bat. :P
There's a StunBaton specific shock-mod that throws enemies a bit farther, but I don't know if it's really worth it compared to a BurningShaft or BarbedWire which add a little DamageOverTime effects...I'll have to doublecheck which mods can go on the StunBaton and which can go on at the same time though.
I make fun of it, but I DO think the StunBaton got a modest buff (at least in early A20..not sure if it's still in effect) where it stuns more often which made it a LOT more viable. I think it currently stuns on every other power-attack and every third/fourth regular hit.
There's also a book that should make it stun more often, but I hate relying on something so random and scarce to make a weapon usable...so I'm glad it stuns more often in general.
I'm also familiar with the rad remover which I believe is pretty much essential eventually...i.e. I'm near about day 250.
So say a guy wants to fill all slots of his #6 electrical baton slots...what mods fit... and if possible is there an ideal combo of mods?
Sadly the HunterMod (which now says it adds dmg to all animals..which might include zed-dogs/zed-bear) doesn't work together with RadRemover.
Of the few that DO work and add combat benefits my picks would be:
-RadRemover
-ErgoGrip (for stamina regen like mentioned earlier..unless stamina isn't a problem)
-WeightedHead (extra chance to stun and slow)
-StunRepulserMod instead.
It also looks like regular attacks are easy to keep up stamina with at low-levels, though they only stun every ~4th hit...which is enough to keep a single enemy locked down.
Power-attacks drain stamina much faster for only a 50% increase in damage instead of 2X, so they're only really worth it for the faster stun-charging if needed...or if you already have plenty of stamina-regen through SexxyRex and FlurryOfBlows.
With these 4mods and full Int/Electricutioner perks it seems to kill most regular zeds in ~4headshots using regular attacks on InsaneDifficulty.
The charging every ~3rd hit (to zap every 4th) seems to carry pretty well too, so it's possible to kind of "farm" the last already stunned zed to make sure you'll be charged right away for the next encounter in another room.
