But the bigger problem are the textures - the old zombies had "personality" while all the new zombies look the same due to their lack of colours. This may be odd but i tink what made 7DTD 7DTD were also the interresting over the top zombies - the new ones are neither really scary or realistic nor individual.
Other 2 special mobs of sorts I would be okay with are Military Zeds and/or Swat team Zeds. With body armor and helmets making them harder to kill. Then dropping better loot to make up for it, like AK parts from a an Army Z, or smg ammo.parts from a swat cop Z.
Wtf game are you even playing? Certainly is not 7D2D A13 you are talking about here.....
A13 zombies...they are much more scary, visually and how they function.
Zombies arent known for being colorful...and when you have 5-6 zombies you dont want them standing out of a crowd...like you know a fat guy in a Hawaiian shirt.
Always get scared when the witch appears screaming.
I'm really beginning to think that Stark is a troll.
I call the screamer Sadako. Ghost chick from the ring seen here http://trekeffect.com/travel-blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/rBg8337.jpg
She is a bit like the witches in L4D too though.
I know. I was not asking for it to be like L4D (like I originally said as well), that is going a bit over the edge. What I was asking for was something more akin to what YamaKami said below.
I would like to see differentiation in the mob itself as far as attributes go, as well as some modifiers for certain behaviors; thats what I meant by abilities. Some reskins are fine, but if devs are going to work at new zombies / models it would be nice to add biome / area related zombies.
-At current we have military bases. By normal reasoning one would think there would be militaristic zombies.
-We have churches, perhaps properly suited zombies in their Sunday mass clothes and priests.
-There are high value properties, surely there would be snoody zombies trapped inside their boarded up home to welcome us when we come knocking down the doors.
-There are factories and junkyards and tunnels, perhaps we'd have construction workers or miners wearing hardhats that make it hard to headshot these guys to the point it would be more effective at disabling them first or going for body shots.
-As far as generic attributes go, perhaps there might be some really thin zombies that are fragile enough you could easily take off their arms / legs making it worthwhile to go for limbs first.
All the above are some samples of what I mean by altering the gameplay dynamic a bit without truly altering the core game.
This. First Cop Zombie in Day 14 Feral Horde. Increased number of cop zombies in each subsequent horde.
THey do. Lumberjack zombies in the cold biomes. Seem to come in some variations but I've been staying out of the snow biomes except some mini-bike trips through one to get air-drops so I'm not entire sure.
