For 4:3 - the correct FOV is about 60
For 16:9 - the correct FOV is about 70-75
For 16:10 the correct FOV is about 65-70
Obviously, you can use whatever you want though.. :P
Is there a command, there used to be I think, to bring up framerate?
I've been using 70 FOV, but I find 60 and 70 about the same, I may bump it higher. If the game's graphics were great I'd perhaps lower it, but it looks about as off either way.
Don't assume FOV ratio is always the same across games. :) And I play at 75. I've tried higher but much more than that and the fisheye starts to annoy me (especially in screenshots).
Indeed. There's horizontal and vertical measured FOV's. Some games use one and other games use the other.
