First those terrible decision with "forge ahead" now this.
The Pimps really have to get the head out of there rears and start to think gameplay properly.
Gating somewhat central mechanics? My azz..!
Certainly should be gated... may be too gated at present though. I can at least make shotgun shells in the meantime.
Same here my first tool store was looted on day 29 and my Quality Joe had 3 points. I found two calipers, a tap & Dye set, chainsaw, and Nail gun. I was a happy camper.
Howerver I still havn't found Amunition Nation so I can't smelt bullet tips or casings. And I'm still looking for the Riddle of Steel.
Perhaps if they had some things in the game that were guaranteed to have them but hard to get to such as a wall safe in the back of The working stiff for example. It takes some skill to even get into the back room. Fight off the zombies and then break into a wall safe. But the rewards would be really good and would justify the effort.
These could be special wall safes that only appear in correct store. Working stiff safe only appears in the Working stiff store and only holds special items like the Calipers and die set and so on.
I think its just a balance issue, and seeing as how much of this is a first implementation, its going to need lots of polish.
Every patch has addressed balance, and I imagine we're going to need a few more until everything starts to feel better.
Before it was just % chances, but now its that plus a skill factor, so its going to be a little more difficult.
