How to host dedicated server?

I wanna play with my friend on own server. How can i do it?

1 money needed, since you best rent a dedi server, for best performance. gameservers.com in an option, but shop around locally. Assume between 30 and 100 $/€ montly for low to mid-end server. Stay away from virtual/root servers fro "only 9.99 / month", they just don't have the oomph or network capacity.

There is a file in your 7 Days to Die directory called StartDedicated.bat

Click that, then tell your friend your external IP address (go to www.google.com and type in "what is my IP" and google will tell you).

If it's just you and your friend, you can probably get by on your home internet connection, but you won't be able to host a lot of people.

If you'd like to change the settings of your server, open the serverconfig.xml file with notepad/wordpad/notepad++ and edit the settings there.
