I am sorry but: How the #!/€ do I cook goldenrod tea?

I have a campfire, I have plenty of wood, I have a cooking pot. I have 15 of bottled water and 15 of golden rod. When I put both of them in the fire it says I have 0. I leave them in my inv and they say I have 0.

Regarding cooking normal bottled water: It says I have 0 bottled murky water which I have tons of.

I have played this game before (alot!) but Im so lost right now...

Can not cook with murky water you have to boil it first

Sorry for being unclear. I used bottled water for the tea. Ill edit.

Dont put them into the fire.
You need the raw materials in your inventory, whatever fuel you're using goes into the slots above "turn on".
Click goldenrod tea from the menu on the left, select the amount, then hit the cook button below it. Fire should by default turn on if fuel remains.
edit: oh and the cooking pot needs to be in the cooking pot slot (top right)

Thanks. So the top right slot has 3 slots. One for the pot, one for grill and one for beaker. And the ingredients never leave the inventory. Got it. Thanks :)
