I'm having this trouble with the 64bit linux version (on an ubuntu server host).
The 32 bit version works, but I'm really worried that a server won't be able to host realistically limited to 32 bits's ram space.

TBH, there is no reason to even compile this game for 32 bits if walking in one direction for ten minuets exhausts all the ram a 32 bit application can have, how do you expect a server to do that for tens of people at once?

You mean on that server? Ark was running before, but not at this time... only 7dtd, on a root debian server. 7dtd worked before btw.

thx, that helped.

Could have tried that by myself, from the logs:
"Failed to create secure directory (/run/user/0/pulse): Permission denied"

apt-get install pulseaudio

But that was not enough, I also had to chmod 777 /run/user/0, cause I'm using a different user.
Maybe someone has a cleaner solution? How do allow my user to use pulseaudio without chmodding /run/user/0?

Maybe installing pulsaudio is even not necessary.

Anyway, it works now. Thx for the direction Obiwan!

you are welcome man, our monstrous server hosted from Germany is linux too so it was very frustrating and I actually apologise that I did not update this post faster we found the fix 2 days ago.

Glad it lead you in the right direction though Toughy!
