Last I checked Canada is a rather large portion of America and they use Celcius.
And yet all those people can't make good video games so we're stuck with all the terrible American games. Sucks, huh?
Also, Chineese is the most spoken language in the world, so I think all games should be in Chineese. Do the math. Flawed logic is flawed.
Not really. If gamedevs explain it this way, it would be correct if they chose to dev ganes in chinese. But by the way... you can't compare grown social things like languages with logical developed things like scales.
Uh, the US system of measurement is "grown social" (is that even a phrase?) just like language. It's everywhere, on every measured action and item, and used in all social exchanges from the day you're born. Also as mentioned already, Americans put up with the same thing in the very rare mildly successful games actually developed outside the US. Seriously, water freezes at 32 and boils at 212. I have no problem remembering 0 and 100 at 1 atmosphere for quick mental extrapolation. If you can't remember those 2 facts about temp you may have a learning disability.
I'd prefer a system like this. Blue for cold, red for hot.
♥♥♥♥ numbers!
It's even easier to just do the mental math to be honest. One is in increments of 9 while the other 5. So if 77F is 25C....... add 9 you get 86F which would give you 30C. 95F would be 35C etc etc. Just a few minutes of practice and people would have it memorized and never have to worry again.
