Need Celcius Temperature!!
OK, here is an issue... for those people that live in the civilised world the metric system is the way we measure things like distance and temperature.
Unfortunately the game currently appears to have Fahrenheit as default and I can see no way to change it.

Now i can understand that TFP might want to make sure that such huge gaming nations like Myanmar & Liberia... and of course the USA (where they show their independance to their founder England by using the measurement abstraction of the King's Shoe length)... have access to their completely non-logical and arbitrary system

But the rest of the world would like to also know what the termperature is... so how about a Celcius converter?

good stuff
I agree with everything you wrote.

I am 100% behind an arbitrary system too because of adapation.

I was born in South Australia.
A very Cold day for me is 6C
A Cold day for me is 12C
A Warm day for me is 30C
A hot day for me is 42C

I lived for 5 years in North Germany
A very Cold day for my friends there is -2C
A Cold day for my friends there is 5C
A Warm day for my friends there is 16C
A hot day for my friends there is 25C

Even though we all use the same system our reaction to the heat/cold deffers on our adapation.
I have discussed this earlier in the Thread with someone from Sweden.

A descriptive system gets rid off all this monkeying around

You could learn Fahrenheit.

Oh yeah, because 96% of the worlds population should learn an obsolete system for the convenience of the other 4%. That makes perfect sense.
Stop be so stupid & learn the mechanic of the game!

F or C doesn't changed anything abou the gameplay!

Just remember this:

> 40 to 90 is good

> 30 to 20 more hunger
> 20 to 10 more hunger (faster than previous) + low speed + less stamina
> 10 to 0 more hunger + low speed + less stamina + low health (all faster than previous)
> 0 more hunger + low speed + less stamina + low health (all faster than previous)

> 90 to 100 more thirst
> 100 to 110 more thirst (faster than previous) + low speed + less stamina
> 110 to 120 more thirst + low speed + less stamina (all faster than previous) & + low health
This thread is outdated, the functionality to switch was added to the game with Alpha 14.

Added: New set temperature unit type command that the host or server admin can set. In the console type ‘settempunit c’ or ‘settempunit f’ to set the game to use Celsius or Fahrenheit unit of temperature
