Any other random hordes you may spawn by making too much noise building\crafting, day or night, the message will be different (I forget atm what the exact message is) that means the mobs are coming to investigate the last known "noise" contact and if you leave the area or remain quiet the mobs will come and pass on by without ever knowing your exact location.
The one main exception is the spider z's (scouts) they are supposed to pass by and de-spawn if they find nothing however for me they come and hang out screaming thier heads off till either you log out or if you are stealthy and have the adequate weapons to take them out with one shot thus prevent a world of zombies being air-dropped on your head because you wounded them giving away your location for them to call in immediate reinforcements.
AIDirector: Spawning wandering horde moving towards player
AIDirector: wandering horde zombie '[type=EntityZombie, name=zombie07, id=52387]' was spawned and is moving towards pitstop.
AIDirector: scout horde zombie '[type=EntityZombie, name=spiderzombie, id=52476]' was spawned and is moving towards point of interest.
So there are 3 messages: "towards pitstop","Towards player" and "towards point of interest".
I regularly see hordes just wonder past me (The point of interest one). I think the pitstop one is actally if you've done heaps of stuff in your area and the heat map is just too high. The towards player makes more sense for a 7th day horde but I could be just wrong on that one.
I'm sure there are plenty of other threads about this subject on the boards here.
ps sorry forgot to say, its SP mode on Navezgane
cheers
