Quickest way to get a motorbike...
So i've recently got this game because of my lack of interest in anything else out there. I fell in love with it from the start but, it's so annoying to walk around everywhere and to have a good amount of handy grain alcohol on you so you don't run out of stamina.

Me and my friend have been trying to get a motor bike but, just can't find any parts other then headlights (literally have like 15 xD). Is there a better and more efficient way to get the parts?! I am a noob so be kind :D

Well for one, grain alcohol is not the only thing that increases stamina & it is harder to obtain. Yucca juice is easier to obtain & make early on & then there is beer & coffee. I use my GA to make bio-fuel down the road when I do find the parts for a bike.
Now to the bike you just have to keep searching for the book to make certain parts & some parts you find. Tires at gas atations can be destroyed for 50% chance of finding it, cars, trashes, boxes in garages. You just have to search everywhere & find yhat book.
Bad thing about GA, Beer, YJ. is when you are full you can not drink it & coffee you can drink all the time.

grain alc lowers hydration and is impossible to "fill up" on, and they last for 4 game hours as opposed to coffee's what 30 mins ?, takes about 8 coffees to equal 1 GA and thats nearly 1 wellness gone, GA takes half the time to cook as it used to and is much the better option over coffee imo.

"more efficient" than what?

Bookstores for the minibike book and handlebars book. Tool shops and cars for the engine. Cars for the battery and cable. Wheels from the gas station. Basket from stores.

Yeah, thats pretty much the best way to go right here.

There is no really other way. Unless you want to cheat.

I have no intent to cheat but thanks a lot for your help guys, i'll get to checking those certain areas to try and find what I need. Do I need a book to actually craft the bike though and how do I go about refueling it at that point?

Thank a lot :)

You need a book[7daystodie.gamepedia.com] for the bike itself. From there you can craft the bike. Place the chassis on the ground, click on it and place all other needed items.

From there once the bike is built you can refuel 1 gas can at a time by holding e and selecting the gas can icon.

Okay and is there anyway to make fuel efficiently? Other then finding it...

You can use biofuel to make gasonline with grain alcohol.

Really, just look at the link provided by Jerseyetr. My posting was just compressing what was in that site about minibikes.

I find making fuel too cumbersome to actually want to mess with it. I end up forging sand to glass to get murky water to clean water. Then corn to corn meal to water to grain alcohol. Animals to animal fat to biofuel to grain alcohol to gas. Far too much cooking for me to really want to fuss with it. I end up setting up a series of campfires and leaving everything to cook for days. I hear the cook times for this are going to decrease in A13 though.

IMO, gas should take that long to craft as it is a commodity. But that is my thinking. I focus on realism with my server.

You don't need much gas, a few cans will see you through an entire day of driving around. By the time I have the parts to build a minibike I've usually got several beakers. The cook might take a little while but it's easy enough to setup and you don't have to babysit it. Considering the mobility it gets you, it's well worth the small effort.

desert towns yield between 30 and 60 gas assuming you have read the book and can convert oil drums into gas, gas stations typically have 6 drums (36 gas) and the pumps yield 1-4 gas each when looted.

in all my sp maps and the pve server maps we have played in a12x we/i have had huge quantities of the stuff, but i'm guessing its still hard to come by on pvp servers.

heh, I'm now up to day 130, over level 50. I have everything for my minibike EXCEPT a stinking small engine lol I have walked so much of my map it's crazy. I have safe houses set up everywhere so I can have a safe place to stay when traveling... looking for engines :D I had my loot timer set for 30 days but recently changed it to 3 or 5.

Oh, and about drinking. If you're fully hydrated, just pop a pain pill. It drops you hyrdration down enough to drink something sooner.

true assuming you have found a beaker - if not then coffe isnt that bad idea - its always good to have either coffe or GA on belt just in case if dogs show up, yes imho GA is better too but its the highest tier item and its not always aviable esp at first.

Not really true. If youve got a faulty or poor engine it takes 2 gas cans and has horrible efficiency.
