New armor sets
Anyone actually saving up one of every armor set and switching them often to take advantage of the perks? My son and I don’t bother with it. I strictly use farming outfit because I’m the food guy.
He uses the assassin costume. Sounds like too much to constantly switch or bring outfits with everywhere

I think the current way its handled doesnt make any sense. If this is how its gonna be there should at least be a radial wheel to change outfits on the fly but it wont matter. Still the same tiny a** backpack since I started first playing in A9....

Yeah Im disappointed with this update. Cant dye it or anything to make it unique. I personally hate it. Makes no difference though how disappointed I am, once mods are out here in a bit, I'll end up breaking 10,000+ hours ingame. This game will always be my first love I just hate how it feels like it goes 2 steps forward then 5 back. I still trust their vision and believe it will get better just disappointed with this...

I've pretty much done a 180 on my previous attitude and I just rock the Scavenger set 99% of the time now, just makes it so much less tedious when I get distracted by salvagable stuff while running around, and the bonusses are good enough for most purposes. Miner/farmer/lumberjack sets in a box at home for when I need them, and a ranger hat with a cigar in my inventory for when I need to buy/sell stuff.

I use the miner set so I don't have to put points into strength. The maxxed driver plus salvage perks allow me to run around w/o a shovel, pick, or axe. I only put on the mining outfit and break out my steel pick when I'm going to a mine, which I pretty much only need to do to mine lead for my junk turret ammo.

ive been starting to do it now... but its only because ive got nothing else to do with my 30 legendary parts since ive almost got 3 of each highest tier gun at level 6.

I use multiple sets.

I mostly wear a mix of nerd, biker, and hunter while roaming around. I don't care about full set bonuses, at least the full set bonus for the nerd outfit is sort of pointless to me.

Back at base I can switch to farmer, hunter, scavenger, etc depending on what I am doing around base.

Yes, it's a little tedious, but I like the idea that I can have all these bonuses without having to spend pts in a perk tree. It's actually super cool.

I don't waste my time with that, too busy clearing out POIs and Killing zeds. 10k map with Mega City map mod with most of the map waste land there is no need for loot bonus, out side of perks, and we loot so much food and bullets there is no need to farm or mine. I just stick with enforcer set, reload time on the vulture is so fast.
I want a Bob the Builder-Set for doing construction-work, lowers the ressources you need to upgrade/repair blocks/objects.

I like light and medium armors when out looting. on horde nights I switch to heavy armor.

I do not (but sort of do).

Even though the books make it feasible to run medium or heavy armor, I generally stick to a mish mash of light armor. The types may change somewhat based on character build, but usually include a loot bonus, more inventory slots, a melee damage bonus, and a run speed/stamina regen bonus.

I do keep a looted Farmers Outfit and Farmer Boots in the farming storage crate for harvesting bonuses.

I will also keep looted Miner armor for a dedicated mining session. I seem to salvage enough resources for day to day operations and very rarely have a dedicated mining session. Buying cobble and cement from traders is pretty efficient and inexpensive.
Yes and no. However the bonuses from the different armors are very minimal that it's not really worth having armor on at all. For instance, a full set of assassin gear with books, gives you a x6.6 sneak attack damage. But without the armor is x6 bonus to sneak attack damage. You won't really notice the damage if you're not wearing the full set of lvl 6 gear. The mining one works for mining, but once you have the Augr, you won't notice much returns. Some gear are flat out bad, while others are minor bonuses. You can walk around naked or even have mismatched gear for those small bonuses and be perfect fine. They need to bring back clothing and get rid of these useless armor sets.
