But that was a consistent problem for users over several days to weeks. If that is your experience, contact your provider.
anyone hearing anything on this? would be a favor if you share anything you find on it.
A few weeks ago, a few thousand people throughout various games like 7DTD, Valheim, Enshrouded, etc, were complaining about their inability to connect to dedicated servers and co-op direct games. Found out it was a Steam issue. Since then, seems people are still having issues sporadically. I suggested directly connecting via IP address instead of looking for the servers in a lobby, but most people were adamant they prefer to find servers through the lobby. No idea why really.
we tried that and it doesnt work either but appreciate the suggestion
Try this;
Reset your router (DONT SKIP THIS)
If you are going to be the host then set your PC to a static local IP. How to do this depends on your router and each are different.
Go to Windows firewall settings and forward these LOCAL ports:
26900 TCP
26900 - 26902 UDP
---Open Windows settings (shortcut win+i)
---Updates/security>>>Windows security>>>
Firewall/network protection>>>advanced settings
---Add new rule>>>Port>>>TCP/UDP>>>Add port/range
***RESTART YOUR COMPUTER***
Next, add 7 days to die to the exception list to your AV or windows defender
---Updates/security>>>Windows security>>>Virus/threat protection>>>Manage
---Under "exclusions">>>Add/remove exclusions
---Add exclusion>>>Folder>>>navigate to 7D installation folder>>>Click set folder
Done. Tell your friends to do the same and then try again.
You can also try the network workaround in the game settings
Settings>>General>>network workaround>>on>>>apply
