Can't invite friends to play

Hi! Up until yesterday I was able to invite someone to play with me. We had a great base and were going along great. Today, the other person could not join my game and I don't get the option to invite friends. What is going on?

Have they tried connecting to you directly via IP address?

Make sure that you are both logged in to the Steam Friends Network.

"unable to establish connection to server" Issues

My friend and I have been playing reliably on a server hosted by my husband for months. even after the new 1.0 update, however we just tried to get on to play and suddenly none of the 5 people we play with can join. even myself who lives in the same house can't join half the time. we have tried plugging into LAN options, making the server public with a password, checking windows firewall settings, ect

i just don't know what to do anymore.. :(

Same problem as of this week. I’m wondering if there was some sort of windows update? Doesn’t look like the game got an update recently?

Have you tried connecting to it directly with the server's IP address? This might be a Steam specific issue.

Having the same issue and two of my friends as well but their friends are able to join

Same problem. 1 person can connect if they are on my network but anyone else verifies up to the point the game checks EOS and then it says they can't connect. So it seems like a problem with Epic Services.

Run the game without EAC. Check if that works. Our server has EAC disabled and we've never had any issues with connections.

Done that, reinstalled, cleared DNS, done a lot of fixes that seem to not work. Thanks for the suggestion, might help someone else at least.

We were both logged in to the Steam Friends Network. It's weird that I don't even get the option to invite friends anymore. If I press ESC I only get "Options" and "Exit". Used to get the option "Invite Friends" also.

My brother and I have been playing 1.0 since release. I host and he joins and it's worked flawlessly until about a week ago, we both had to reacquire a file. Then it worked again until today, we have to validate and reacquire over and over and he can't cannot with my invite, through ip, nothing.

Had the same problem tried trouble shooting over a couple days this is what worked for us.
Validated file integrity and was missing a file
Reinstalled whole game
Set Server visibility to public
Changed server password

So... just for science we just changed the server password... and that was enough. *shrugs* Problem fixed! Thanks!

My buddy and I are having the same Issue we have tried all the things above and it is still saying the same error. Is there anything else we can try?
