Question on blood moons
I've been playing a long time but never run into this before. Maybe someone can help. I left my blood moons at 7 days. When I started A19, I did get a blood moon on Day 7. I have the notification set to "morning" and on Day 7 the "7" was Red. I am now on Day 14. The "14" is not red even though the time is past 12 noon in game. I have not altered the blood moon range so I assume it is still every 7 day. I don't know why the notification hasn't lit up the Day 14 to a Red Type. I am wondering since it shows in the regular white type if I am even gong to get a 14 day horde coming at me. Any comments as to what I may check for as this Day 14 appears like every other day. Thanks.

Check your Bloodmoon range option. That can make the bloodmoons happen later than usual. I never quite understood who that option is for, but its an interesting one for sure

I do know the number doesn't change to red until 8am or so. Sometimes at 12am day of if I am out and about I get a brief Flicker of Bloodmoon Horizon.

Any Mods? Use any Consone Commands on this game?

Not using any mods. Nor any console commands. I normally have "cheat mode" on but it has been on since Day 1.

Here are my settings for Blood Moons.....

Blood Moon Frequency: 7 Days
Blood Moon Range: 0 Days
Blood Moon Warning: Morning
Blood Moon Count: 8 Enemies
Enemy Spawning: On

These settings have not been changed since Day 1. I did get a Blood Moon on Day 7, but it is now after 12:00 noon in game and still no warning where the day number normally changes to red (like it did for me on Day 7).

I'm stumped.

Blood Moon Range: 0 days (Think that means off). You want at least 1 day.

No, blood moon range is for how many days on either side of 7 days that a blood moon can happen. So it could happen on the 6th, 7th, or 8th day because it has a one day range, 1 day earlier, or one day later. If its set to 0 it will happen every 7 days with no variation.

Have you used any console commands or went into dev mode? If so and if you messed with the days and time within Dev mode, it can mess up your blood moon phases.
If you didnt do any of that, i have no idea what the problem is. Your settings you posted should give you a Blood Moon every 7 days on the nose.

sliiiiiiiightly incorrect on that last bit. It's not a + / - modifier, but a random + only. I believe even the wording states "Up to X days"

So a range of 3 would allow anywhere from day 7-10 , then a continued spread of 7-10 days from that point. So instead of 7,14,21,28,35 it could end up being 8 ,18, 27,35,42

So Hey Everyone I'm having the same issue I had Blood Moons right up to day 35, I've had no blood moon for day 35 or day 42 now. No red sky no thunder nothing to even indicate a blood moon is coming.
Here are my settings for Blood Moons.....

Blood Moon Frequency: 7 Days
Blood Moon Range: 0 Days
Blood Moon Warning: Morning
Blood Moon Count: 16 Enemies
Enemy Spawning: On

An important set of questions for each of the people having the issue.

One, Did you at any time during the latest 7 days alter the Blood Moon Frequency or Blood Moon Range settings? Changing either one to a different value and loading in will cause the game to re-calculate the next blood moon from the current day- This includes setting it to 'Disabled' and later changing it back.

Two, Did either of you fiddle around with the Debug Mode's Time slider, and/or the set time command? Messing with the game time without knowing exactly what you're doing can very easily break blood moon timing in your save- Thankfully it is usually salvagable by doing what question one says; Setting the value to some other value in order to force the game to re-calculate the blood moon time.

Good to know; Thanks! (also for the follow up comments).

I will say this, server (game) settings are worlds better than Conan: Exiles settings. Just figuring spawn intervals vs time settings on that thing....too much math.

(1) When the blood moon on Day 7 came up (red sky, thunder, etc) I had enemy spawning turned off, if that would make a difference. I was in creative mode building a base.

(2) I turned enemy spawning on around Day 10 and have not received a blood moon since. I am now mid day Day 15.

(3) I didn't mess with any debug mode or time sliders. I don't even know how to do that. I am not very technically adept I'm afraid.

I could just keep waiting for another blood moon to appear I guess unless you have another suggestion. Would being in creative mode stop blood moons? Thanks for any help. PS my settings for blood moons are listed above.

If you turned enemy spawning on around day 10, your next horde is due around day 17. It will be 7 days from the day you turned spawning on.

Good to know, however I did get a blood moon on Day 7 even with enemy spawning off. By this I mean the Day 7 was in red and I got the red sky, thunder, etc. but of course no zombies.

Nope havent changed anything at any time, except turning off zombies on other days, but Ive done that since day 1 and have always gotten the blood moon every 7 days until the last two.
Dericco Sep 18, 2020 @ 8:00pm
I know it's strange. I am now on Day 18 and no blood moon yet except for Day 7.
cjbills Sep 19, 2020 @ 7:22am
Ive gotten Blood Moon on Day 7,14,21 and 28 then all of a sudden nothing for day 35 and day 42 , Im about to just delete everything and reinstall
