Has anyone found that a full armor set makes a noteable difference?
I'm doing a lot of continuing education stuff to get higher pay and haven't been able to play much; I'm just following along mostly.

How is the armor stuff working out?

really depends on what play style you enjoy

I can't tell anyone much. But at some expense of movement and stamina, the full raider set is almost a set of invulnerability.

I don't have other sets to give a bunch of info, the preacher gloves at tier 6 are pretty awesome, no matter the nay sayers.

I have yet to do anything with the farmer or miner outfits. Solo play I get all that I need without them.

I tried the assassin set in version 1.0 and it was, with all the perk points, the same as playing invisible.

That's about all I got.

mas que nada en los atuendos de minero y leñador es donde mas se nota...

Depends on the set, but I've decided the full set bonuses are in many cases... not really needed.

I swap out individual pcs for specific benefits, like hunter boots for the movement bonus. The rest I use is mainly intelligence.

Set bonuses are just that, bonuses. You can live without them. Mix and match is the name of the game for now.

We traded a lot of customization for improved models and simplified stats. Its neither bad, nor good, really. Some sets serve as pure utility for whatever non-zombie-hunting activity you're doing. Some sets have purely combat use. Problem is, most combat-oriented sets, if you look into stats, seem useless as "sets" or even completely useless(as in, not a single piece of the set is impressive or useful). Some armors are basically MUCH better than others, with less/no penalties for the benefits you get.

Commandos nice for the weapons bonus, Nomad is saving you a couple of picks of iron gut, if you mod it to minimize the heavy armor debuffs .

I haven’t played in a couple months, but the assassin set was pretty much like playing as a ghost.

I have not. I generally run a mix of light and medium.

Rogue Hood (Loot Stage Bonus)
Preacher Gloves (OP Damage to Undead Bonus)
Lumberjack Outfit (Backpack Slots) OR Scavenger Outfit
Lumberjack Boots (Stamina Regen Running) OR any light or med (with Run Speed Bonus)

The T6 (and even T5) Assasin's set was super OP before most recent patch - I think it's still somewhat OP with a little care but not quite as "wear and forget" if that makes sense. It also requires a pretty slow movement playstyle/is not for the impatient. No dashing about into danger, leaping all over the place, shouting YOLO.

As others have said, depends on playstyle and tolerances, especially melee vs. ranged.

You can do very well just wearing pieces for individual bonuses vs. full set bonuses. The set bonuses can be beneficial but either you have to take them on and off for certain things (like non-combat farming set, or any long mining/salvaging runs) or decide on one and never take it off. Too much bother for many (especially without a bigger packpack mod, say). You'll still do fine with not a full set.

I've used Raider full set and assassin full set so far.

Both are completely different and efficient for what they do. Raider makes you quite a great tankish character and assassin makes you an awesome stealth killer.

One of my friend is full nerd set and is easily 10 levels higher than me with less kills. And his crafting is maxing a lot faster than everyone else.

This is pretty much what Im doing on a hard-ish server. Preacher or Commando gloves (Im not sure every single enemy counts as undead, but yes Preacher Gloves are slightly better than Commando on paper) Rogue Hood, Scavenger Outfit and Athletic Shoes.

So a full set, each slot different, and they give the player everything the slotted item scribes?
In other words, one thing never makes a different outfit item, lose any of it`s stats/effects?

Just no full set bonus, I believe.

Each piece has it's own effects. You can mix pieces from different sets if that's what you want. Having a full (matched) set grants a separate effect on top of the others.
