Dynamite
I am curious how many sticks of dynamite you can stack/place near each other then explode before the game crashes due to the explosion being too enormous...

You can drop around 50-75 or so before they start despawning; And it doesn't crash at that point, so. :D

Unless you mean the dynamite that is placable like a block, that I'm not sure is in A18.x; IN which case i dunno.

Ya they'll despawn before you can get enough down. I've tried the spawn command so they drop to the ground instead of having to throw them and I couldn't get close to 75 down.

Oh haha! I didn’t think about the fact they might despawn.

Is that because there is a limit in the number of dropped objects or just that one person cannot drop them fast enough?

I too recall there was a place able dynamite but it seems to be gone?

It's because a player cannot drop them fast enough; They despawn after awhile but the player can only drop one every second or two.

And yeah, there was a placeable one, but it seems to be gone, i dunno why.

Interesting; need to try with multiple players dropping them then... :)

Just use fuel barrels. Explosive, and they don’t despawn.

Once you have a few hundred, you can watch the fireworks slideshow slowly demolish whatever POI you have your sights set on. You’ll be measuring your frame rate in ice ages, but it’s possible it won’t crash.

I've done that with several hundred gas barrels. Then I stood above them in the pit and threw out a bunch of dynamite and blew it all to kingdom come!

It was one heck of a slideshow for about 10 seconds as you watched in slow motion the chain explosion happen right before your eyes. Kind of reminded me of a Myth Buster episode where they watch an explosion in super slow motion.

No crash. Just an awesome slide show of explosion goodness for about 10 seconds.

Yeah, truly it all depends on how much CPU and RAM you have to process it. It will fill up your RAM pretty quickly, and once you're using your pagefile for processing SI the framerates will drop into the single digits.

I used to use this as a load test by filling the Navezgane hospital with TNT and barrels.
